Food here is very good. Martini selection is excellent. I was disapointed with a very slow service-we were the only ones at the place and it still took over one hour to get our plates. In addition, the bill included a stiff tip un-derserved.

We absolutely LOVED Tantra - atmosphere, drinks, appetizers, food, service, etc. My wife and I have been to PR many times in the last 15 years, there is good reason...as a bi-racial, lesbian couple, we have been welcomed everywhere. At Tantra, during our honeymoon, we were treated as royalty! We are heading back there this September with friends of ours... More

After two years of trying to schedule our visit we finally took the time to visit this restaurant with our daughters on a hot weather afternoon. The decorations is really lovely but they did not turn on the air condition and it was really hot. It is not nice to sweat while eating specially when the food is not cheap. You... More

This place will serve your dish without rice. If you want any they will charge you 5$ for a 1/3 of a average individual bowl of rice. That after paying 6$ for two tiny samosas and $3 per small naan! The men's bathroom is filthy and the place is DUSTY! Plus a very limited and basic Indian food menu-no wonder... More

I head lot about food in Puerto Rico but not much about Indian food. In fact when I visited Puerto Rico we took one checked luggage filled with just food just because we are vegetarian and rumors saying no good Indian restaurant. but we gave a shot to this restaurant and it was pretty good. Nice paneer curry and Rajma... More

We live in Puerto Rico and this is such a treat and very different from the usual local fare. Loved the mango chutney and chicken korma. The house hot sauce is crazy hot but so good! And they have all kinds of special martinis

Many things have changed in the island of Puerto Rico withing the last 7 years; Tantra is definitely one of them! The new head chef (son of former owner) has really made a turn-around to be proud off! The restaurant now serves a fine balance between northern and southern Indian cuisine. The food is perfectly spiced and the ambiance is... More

Once upon a time this was the best restaurant in PR. I went for a birthday party recently and we waited hours for food; in fact, after two hours we had to leave without eating and go back to our hotel and order pizza. The restaurant is so empty on the weekends it is a shadow of its former vibrant... More

Dear Ms Abbey We at Tantra deeply apologize for the less than stellar experience you had at our restaurant. To be honest, our staff was looking forward to serving this party especially since it was booked by our favorite and loyal customers Drs. Roberto and Juan Carlos. We wanted to do them proud. We even controlled how many people entered... More

What is Indian Fusion? One of the best Indian Fusion restaurants in Old San Juan is Tantra. There was a cross-cultural fusion of food that will remove any preconceived notions you may have about Indian cuisine. Innovative regional dishes infused with an exotic cuisine. I had 3 eclectic dishes, the Duck tacos (absolutely amazing) tuna tartar Chat (simply succulent) ,... More
