We had the kofta and souvlaki chicken which was delicious, as is their rice. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. Service is a little spotty. Took quite some time to get our food and it wasn't a busy day for lunch. Still, it's worth the wait and possibly a return visit although there are lots of other... More

Walked in late - they were in closing mode. I asked if they'd serve me and was given a table. I ordered the lamb casserole and 15 mins later it arrived - fantastic is all I can say. Presented on a shallow pan with rice in the middle, lamb pieces and mushrooms surrounding it and two pieces of bread... I... More

So good we went one night and there was only us there but the food was great and the waiter, Ivan, was very pleasant. So good we went back again a couple of nights later, it was full and buzzing, great. place. Highly recommended

I love iskander, a Turkish dish but its hard to find in the U.S. When I saw it on the sign as a "special" for the day I had to try it. It was very good and the entire party with me all loved their food. The owner was very friendly and passionate about his food. I will go back... More

we came here in old san juan because my husband and i were looking for a middle eastern restaurant and we heard great things about this place. i ordered the ottoman casserole and he got the lamb donor wrap, both of which were excellent. the meat is so tender and flavorful. our server, Ivan, was also great and recommended some... Food at this place is expensive and small portions. Food is average, nothing great but no too many places to chose from when looking for middle eastern food

I love eating out and Istanbul is one of my favorite restaurants in Old San Juan! Don't be fooled by the nearby restaurants filled with tourists. If you like Mediterranean food this restaurant is right on. The food simply delicious, try it out. I noticed they did some much needed TLC to the front recently, good job!

the food was wonderful. really great. but we sat near the back of the place, and it looked like they could use a hand picking up the place. just some basic attention to detail and design. i got the feeling that basic things got away from them as they worked on the food...which, again, was really good!

Perfect for my vegetarian companion. Greek salad, cucumber yogurt dip, and veggie casserole (actually a stew). All delicious and the homemade hot sauce was a spicy and flavorful bonus. Not the cheapest but nothing in San Juan is. Prices reasonable and owner/waiter very gracious and hospitable in a very home-y environment (read: not fancy). Tasted like the food I ate... More

Istanbul is located just a block away from where the cruise ships dock and is a total hole in the wall gem. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food's fantastic and service was outstanding. Local shop owners recommended the spot to us, and we later saw them dining there! Lots of vegetarian/vegan options, and a great... More
