You can sit inside or in the interior yard. We even saw the interior tunnel that connected to the church for emergency passage, it has historical insight!

I am very surprised by all the good reviews here. We went to this place based on a recommendation but we were extremely disappointed. I know Spanish food very well, been many times to Spain and love the food. This was by far the worst tapas place we have been in PR. When we walked in I saw the flowers... More

We spotted the Flamenco advert, made an enquiry and booked for the following night. Excellent food, fantastic service and a superb flamenco experience. Extremely sociable and interactive. The staff all contributed to the show and it was great fun. We sang Cumpleaños Feliz three times! Well recommended for couples or groups. Like any Spanish cultures, good for families too. I'd... Rosa de Triana is one of those cool hidden gems in old town Puerto Rico, which we discovered on a culinary walking tour. The restaurant has two locations kitty-corner to one another, but not connected. The tapas restaurant is in an old jail building, and an interesting (but somewhat dark) location. While the main fare is Spanish, they also have... More

My wife and I stopped here on our last night in Puerto Rico and we were very pleased. The service was excellent and food was just as good. House made Sangria and fresh tapas were amazing! The bonus was finding out that the building dated back to 1529!

We stopped in for lunch after visiting the forts. The restaurant is located in the courtyard garden of a building dating back to early 16th century. Trees and awnings provide shade. The menu is mostly tapas and we ordered several to share. The best surprise was the sangria which was absolutely outstanding and the best I've tasted outside of Spain.... More

Saw the beautiful patio at this place earlier in the day while visiting the adjacent spice shop and decided to try it for dinner. The building is one of the oldest in San Juan, built in 1529! My husband and I ordered Cuba libres, was doubtful as I had to explain to the barmaid what was in it.. Turned out... More

Stopped by for a quick lunch, and found not only the best sangria we have ever had, but amazing food. Our appetites limited what we were able to try but everything we ordered was excellent. Service was very good, and issues with my gluten sensitivity were easily address by our waitress.

Had drinks and a light lunch at this tucked away place near El Convento Hotel. Sat in the courtyard and enjoyed a break from the heat. Waitress was good. Seemed a little dark inside. Manager came around to check on us which was nice. Large portions and the food was tasty. Stop by if you are near!

We went to Rosa de Triana on an Old San Juan Food and Culture Tour (excellent!). While at this interestingly decorated restaurant, our group made mofongo by mixing plantains with butter and garlic. It was so much fun. We also had chicken sofrito and a rice and pink bean dish. All were very tasty. I would return.
