This bakery was within walking distance from our hotel. It is a great place for some quick and delicious food. They had everything from baked goods to sandwiches to salads to some to go hand foods.

We stayed in a guest house close by and this was our go-to place for eats. Full bar as well in this very casual family eatery. And it's tough to find vegetarian food in San Juan but they had delicious vegetable empanadas!

The bakery had many customers daytime and nighttime. We discovered this place walking to Mango’s Restaurant in the evening. The place has no privacy because we can see the entire lighted interior from outside. It looked like a busy cafeteria. We went inside the next day at noon time for Mallorca pastry after stopping at Post Office a block away.... More

I have had Kasalta on our list of places to eat in Puerto Rico for a few years now and finally we decided to take the walk from the condo we were staying in on Ashford Ave to Kasalta in Ocean Park. The walk was approximately 35-40 minutes. We are so glad we did it, because it was a great... More

If you want to have breakfast in a crowed place and make a long line: this is your place. The coffee is ok, the "quesitos" are great and that's it.

I lived in the area for many yeArs and loved to go with my wife and kids on Sundays for coffee and there local pastries which are very good my only complaint is that it is somewhat pricy but good quality.

We heard great reviews for Kasalta. The most common statement when told to go here was the Obama had visited. This is definitely a spot the locals visit at all hours of the day. We looked around at the varying meals prior to ordering as we noticed that the menu is in Spanish. The individuals working here know some English,... More

My entire vacation I said I was gonna eat flan everyday. I had Flan at 5 different spots during my stay and this is the only location that had the BEST flan. I also had a pastrami sandwich that was pretty good. They have a lot of options at this location for food and pastries.

No AC! It was hotter than blazes in there and extremely crowded but the food was excellent. We came for brunch and also had mimosas. The mimosas were tiny and $12 but they also used extremely good champagne. Apparently Obama went there to eat so that was cool too. Our front desk guy from our hotel informed us that it... More
