Kasalta

Little deli and dessert shop in Ocean Park. Loved their chicken empanadas - flaky crust. Desserts are on the heavy side but not bad.

WOW! This place is the bomb! We stopped here on our last day in PR as we heard that the President had stopped in last year or so. We can see why! Great local bakery with an amazing assortment of PR treats. They also serve hot food and have a very large dining area. Parking was tight but a valet... More

Went there for lunch and food was ok. Service was a bit rough because we didn't speak Spanish and their English was not the strongest. We managed though! Desserts left a little to be desired

This bakery/restaurant was too busy, had a confusing ordering system and was expensive. The pastries I tried were average and had better at another bakery our concierge suggested. Try Espana!!

We got our breakfast coupons from Dream Inn hotel from Nimu and boy were we in for a treat. This place has every pastry imaginable and delicious food. My only downfall was that I only ate there once. I would definitely go back there when I go back to San Juan. Best quesitos ever!

I stop here every time I'm in town for a loaf of bread and some pastries. No matter how many years go by, the staff are always friendly and courteous, and the pastry selection continues to improve. Even the chicken veggie soup is worth a try!

Kasalta is a go-to place in San Juan. I stayed across the street so it was convenient any time of day. It is a great place to relax in the evening with wine or coffee and pastry, good breakfasts, sandwiches and scrumptious deli bar. I loved seeing the variety of food right in front of me. I found the staff... More

I had the most spectacular Ham croquette sandwich here. The pit sweet ham and two ham croquettes inside on french bread (pan criollo). I have been searching for the best of these and Ive found it.

Kasalta is a very well-known bakery in San Juan, popular enough that Obama ate there at one point. With that in mind, as expected - it has good food. But at any rate - This bakery is nice because it serves a wide array of food at what I think are reasonable prices. There are probably over 100 different sweets... More

Our hotel's breakfast was partnered with this bakery. Authentic PR eats. I'm a picky eater, so the staff was very nice and accommodating to my mood that day.
