We stopped twice at this local bakery on our morning walks in the neighborhood near Condado. The coffee and pastries were good, and we especially liked the little cheese filled pastries. Worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood and you have a sweet tooth in the morning. They also had an exceptional selection of interesting (and very expensive) cheeses... More

We came for dinner from a hotel after an earlier failed attempt to find the place for lunch. (Thank you, TA maps.) The place is whatever you make of it. Some were up front in the "restaurant" area, well-dressed and apparently celebrating a birthday or such. Back further were open tables that were frequently shared. These took care of the... More

We came to this bakery for a late breakfast, and found many options, sweet and savory. My husband, not understanding the language or food, ordered a rather plentiful serving of sardines with garlic and onions and a loaf of bread, enough for a brunch/lunch for 3 of us! Great café con leche, serving is small compared to what you are... More

We stayed at a hotel that didn't have a very good breakfast. Once we found Kasalta we never looked back. The service is friendly (and patient with English speakers). The coffee was delicious and there was quite an array of goodies to choose from in the bakery cases, along with eggs made to order.

Located in the middke of 2 main tourist zones there is Kasalta Bakery. Parking is not easy but worth the inconvenience. President Obama had lunch there and he got a Media Noche wich is a ham, roasted pork, swiss cheesee , pickles on a sweet soft bun sandwich. I always have the beefsteak sandwich is awsome. Great expresso cofee always.... More

Yummmmmy is all I need to say! Delicious sandwiches and the BEST dessert selection in all of San Juan! I had the cubano sandwich, which was fantastic and then did a mixture of 3 different dessert choices (flan, oreo cheescake, and chocolate cake)! Keep in mind that most of the workers speak Spanish/the menu is in Spanish, but the locals... More

The desserts here are beautiful! I did not eat any of them (because we were on our way to the airport & I had ate like a pig for a week already) but if given the opportunity, I would go back & try one of each! Sandwiches are fairly prices & easily identifiable. My only complaint was that no one... More

Such a nice place for whatever you want : breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's easy, it's quite cheap, lots of choice and everybody comes here. We loved the oatmeal and tostidos for breakfast. With black tea!! Wonderful cheese collection. We had a good wine as wel. Free newspaper. Nice people-watching for us tourists. Quite hard to get a parkingspace though... More
