This is a very unusual bakery. Besides having the best cakes in San Juan, you can get home cooked Puerto Rican breakfast, lunch and dinner. I noticed while we were there they had turkey carved off the bone. It is a very popular breakfast place, but the lines move fast!

First went to Kasalta in 1979 and keep coming back every year when I visit Puerto Rico for the outstanding sandwich de biftec. The beef is marinated and then griddle fried and placed on a tasty sandwich roll, covered with onions and fried potato strings and finished with catsup. The after lunch pastries are fresh and flavorful if you can... More

If you want to live and eat as a local, dine here! You can get fresh pastries, bread and spirits to take back to your hotel. Parking is scarce, bike or walk there if you can.

My son and I stayed in Condado, and walked from Ashford St. to have dinner at Mangoes followed by dessert at Kasalta. We each had a delectible slice of cake. I had a slice of oreo pie, that definitely made it in my top 10 list of best desserts I've ever had. He had a chocolate dipped layer cake. Both... More

The food is good. A bit pricy but good, most of the staff is friendly but a couple were a bit rude to my liking. Overall a good place to eat.

So many locals mention this was the spot to eat. After all Obama was here not to long ago. The food was good but not lived to the hype for me. You get lots of bread to fill you up. I'd try it and see for yourself.

Great breakfast location - so much variety! Some of the food items are definitely expensive but still the place is really good so I recommend you head there. They coffee is excellent. The meat pies, the fruit tarts, the eclairs are good as well.

I can't tell you enough how much I loved this place! I went here at least once a day during my stay in Ocean Park. Everything I had was fantastic, the soups, the sandwiches, the desserts, the breads and pastries. That roast pork sandwich, wow! The medianoche is out of this world as well. The cafe con leche was rich... More

A 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk from Isla Verde or even shorter distance from Condado this Spaniard owned bakey/restaurant is a must for breakfast and even lunch and dinner! Their oatmeal is best ever, their quesito (long cheese pastry) is a must and the bread is terrific. Very good PR coffee (cafe con leche) and good breakfast sandwiches... More
