"More than Very Good"

Excellent variety of bakery desserts, the biggest I ever see. The sandwiches are excellent and the food very nice. This bakery was visited ones by the President of the United States Of America back in 2011. The service is excellent but the price is a little high for almost everything. Still a very... read more

We stayed a few blocks down from Kasalta. It was recommended to us and ate here twice. I ate the the sunny side up eggs with ham and toast. Their toast is so good! The next time I had a cubanito, cookie, and coffee. They are super nice and sweet and the have AC which is so awesome after hot... More

Kasalta is, as everyone says, delicious. We went here multiple times for breakfast, once for lunch, and once for dessert. I enjoyed the pastries a lot, while my boyfriend went for the hot meals. On our last day we split a Cuban sandwich and I wish I'd eaten the entire thing myself. It's a little intimidating at first, with all... More

Kasalta is part bakery, part tapas bar, part bistro and part social meeting place. It is extremely popular and the reason is that the food is better than the food of most full service restaurants in San Juan. This is especially true on week ends when they have a more extensive menu.It is a very informal place but the service is very friendly... What a great local place to eat when you're in isla verde area! We had seafood plantain cups, coconut water, grouper with garbanzo soup and rice. Wonderful flavors and the home made (warm) bread and butter was a nice appetizer. The service was great even though there was a language barrier (the do have a menu in English if you... More

Although we never ate at Kasalta, I can attest to the deliciousness of their chocolates! This place has a great atmosphere day and night. It is clearly a gathering point of choice for many. Known as a bakery, they have a deli, serve coffee and alcohol. It was in our 'hood so we stopped by a few times, sometimes just... More

This is the first and the last place I ate at while in Puerto Rico. The first day I had the Triblecta (probably spelled it wrong) and the quesorita (probably got that wrong too). So delicious!! If you don't know spanish you may get a little confused since the menus are in spanish - however you can ask and they... More

We loved the Cafe Con leche & the pastries that we had were very yum too. Has a variety of options to suit everyone. From hearty meals to quick bites, wine & cheese & baked goods you can find something for every meal here.

Due to all the reviews and considering how close it was to my apartment I frequented this restaurant quite a bit. It can be somewhat intimidating at first due to the multiple cash registers and the hustle and bussle of the place. It had a ecclectic array of foods available such as sopa, malorca, bistec and cubano sandwiches as well... More

Before it got remodeled it was a lot better. Later it was like a fancy restaurant wannabe, totally missing the concept of a genuine puertorican "panaderia". It's like if their trying too hard to be fancy. The point is that it used to be really good and now it's just normal.
