Awesome Place! Best Bakery in town!

When I'm visiting the Island, I always drop by Kasalta to have a Breakfast Sandwich and some great coffee! I also leave a little room for the best pastries in town! They also have a great lunch menu! I highly recommend it!

My husband and I stayed in Ocean Park for 10 days and came here almost daily for an afternoon pick-me-up, eating in a few times for lunch as well. As another recent reviewer said, sandwich orders are taken and the very far end of the bakery; coffee and bakery orders are taken in the middle. Being able to speak Spanish... More

The line will lead you to an obvious conclusion, and I would verify that as well. This is an awesome bakery where you can get breakfast anytime, sandwiches, deli, bar, desserts, pretty much whatever you want, this is comfort food and if you can't find something you love here, you're hopeless. I recommend making your own sandwich with chorizo, green... More

Brush up on your Spanish - some of the employees speak some English but it's not a lot and the menus are in Spanish! The food was amazing though - we were there recently on vacation and went every day for breakfast and coffee. I don't think could go wrong getting ANYTHING, and even if you don't speak Spanish it's... More

If you like Puerto Rican pastries and good typical sandwiches and coffee this is the place to go. This bakery and confectionary is worth your while. It's located in Ocean Park a few minutes east of Condado.

This place can be a bit overwhelming for tourists. Its big and nothing is in English. The service is mediocre but the food is delicious. Especially the desserts. I went for breakfast once and it was just ok. But we went back after dinner one night for dessert and I highly recommend the baked goods. They are the star of... More

This place gets the crowd in, as you enter the restaurant/bakery from the parking lot, you will notice that this place is quite large, wall to wall counters displaying pastries that are a feast to your eyes, it is difficult to make a choice. At one end of the restaurant they have 8 different soups, followed with a large selection... More

Visited this restaurant twice, once later in the evening and once for breakfast. The evening meal was a turkey club for my wife and a pastrami sandwich for me. They were both good. Breakfast was more of a challenge since none of the staff spoke much English so they couldn't answer our questions. Finally another customer who was a local... More

This place is quite famous in PR. This is deli that sells pastries, sandwiches and other gourmet foods and candies. Their "café con leche" is excellent. A must for anyone visiting the are of San Juan.

This very local bakery was a spur of the moment stop for us. We were looking for a bakery and this was the closest to where we were. We were surprised at how local it was (we may have been the only out of towners there at the time). We ordered several pastries and tasted them all. The coconut cake... More
