I'd give it 4.5 if I could. Excellent food, nice atmosphere, good service. We had a great potato and truffles cream soup to start. A grouper in miso sauce, and seared tuna as main courses. This is a favorite restaurant of ours when we're in San Juan. Last night we had seafood dumpling and miniature taco appetizers, both were excellent. They were specials of the day. I also had the grouper, also a special and it was fantastic. My husband had the duck, as he did last time, and it was still superb. We finished... More

That does sound like a slight oversight on our part. We never present checks that have not been asked for since it could be misinterpreted.-That said, I will still certainly be looking into the issue for you. On a brighter note, I'm pleased to hear that you and your husband enjoyed the food, and I'm very much honored to be... More

Service is impeccable and the food was really wonderful. We had small dishes to have more selection. The Tuna Pegao is a must have. I loved the octopus as well.

That is precisely what I love to hear. Nothing puts a smile on my face like knowing that we checked all the boxes for you, our treasured guest. Glad to hear that you were such a fan of the tuna, and of course I hope to see you again soon when you're back in town. Cheers, Chef Wilo, Owner More

We visited Pikayo on a recent Friday evening; although we did not have a reservation, they graciously accommodated us. Service was slow, but they were very busy. All food ordered was delicious - bread, appetizer, and main dish - steak with asparagus, and dessert. However, steak was ordered medium well and was received rare; did not send it back because... Susan, I greatly appreciate your understanding. I already had a staff meeting to look into the specifics of why that day we where unable to deliver the same experience you had on your previous visit at Pikayo, such a lapse in service is really quite unlike us, but it can happen and unfortunately not just for you but for close... The food was perfection. I kind of wanted to lick my plate. The ambiance was also great and the service was too. I felt like a queen eating there and it made my birthday dinner very memorable

We had a very tasty assortment of small plates at Pikayo, seven different things in all. The chef's solid culinary background is evident, with some creativity, though nothing over-the-top amazing. Wait staff were all attentive and cordial. The one thing that almost made me subtract a star was the fact that although the restaurant has a dress code, the maitre'd... More

Thank you for keeping the rating at a 5 star. I would love to have a no shorts policy but in a hotel is a difficult one to achieve. On a brighter note, thank you for stopping by and allowing us to cook for you and serve you. I hope to see you again in the future. Cheers, Chef Wilo,... More

We went here for a business dinner (had a set menu). Appetizers were set out- the pork sliders and tuna on a thin cracker are standouts in my mind. Also, the honey butter for the bread is excellent. For dinner, I had steak but others also commented on the excellent flavor of the sea bass. The steak was grilled perfectly... More

For a hotel restaurant....make reservations. This is the best restaurant in this area, but in the expensive side. Don't let the fact it is located within the hotel fool you. Food very good, service pretty good, prices were ok.

This is the must-go place in San Juan. Chef/owner Wilo Benet runs a great restaurant. Yes, the prices are high but the experience is well worth it.
