My husband and I went there based solely on the Trip Advisor reviews and we are very glad we did. I had the 4 course tasting menu and my husband had the 6 course tasting menu. Each dish was very good, particularly the tuna sashimi, the olive papardelle, the soup of course is wonderful! Every bite was delicious, the service was... more

One day fourty years from now I want my children to cryogenetically freeze me in a giant bowl of Marmalade's white bean soup. Without question better tasting food than the big three in New York, Jean George, Daniel, and Per Se for on fifth of the price. The place was packed and we had to wait a couple extra minutes... more

My girlfriend and I took a weekend getaway on a lark with minimal advance planning, and we simply stumbled upon Marmalade. Chef and owner Peter Schintler's establishment was the best dining experience of our life, and we wished he would bring his talents to New York. Since we are vegetarian, and many of the menu items involved meat, we asked... more

it was empty when I went in (it was early) but I had THE best appetizers. I almost wanted to order it again. The Gnocchi with short ribs was excellent. Then they gave me a 'taste' of their signature white bean soup... AMAZING... would be perfect with some atmosphere... more

One of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Period. This came highly recommended by many locals as well as trip advisor and 10best so we went for it. I'm glad we didn't eat lunch that day because we were good and hungry for dinner. Starters--the pineapple mojito. Holy crap, were they good! We did the $69 per... more

Beautiful modern setting, professional & friendly service, food worthy of "Gourmet". I will not go into bite by bite detail, but suffice it to say that the soup is memorable (ask for the recipe & you will get it), my meal was a two appetizers, each sophisticated and pleasing, those breaking bread with me ordered gnocchi, fish & beef dishes.... more

Amazing flavors, and elegance not to be found anywhere else in the island. The chef personally greets every dinner, which makes it even more unique. Also the chef made a special 10 course for my girlfriend who is vegan. more

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise! In the old part of San Juan there are quite a few great restaurants now. Marmalade however is in a league all on it's own. Fabulous in every way including a lengthy wine list. I can't wait to go back! more

If you want it in a few words, pretentious and hopelessly underpowered. Here’s the rest: The last days of August, 2009 were a sauna in San Juan. How our hearts leaped, then, as our slender hostess led us deep into the air-conditioned depths of one of the toniest, most exquisitely proportioned restaurants we’d ever set foot in. My wife and... more

We just returned from San Juan and glad we ate at Marmalade. We had second thoughts about going to what seems like a non-local cuisine and a foreign Chef. But glad that we kept this reservation. Chef Peter is very worldly and eclectic. His vast experience in French, Spanish, Italian, and Asian cuisine help bring the best out of the... more
