Perfect culinary experience

I visit old San Juan every day. Every time I walk by the restaurant, I realize how badly I wish I could eat there more frequently. It is very very expensive but absolutely worth it. Yes, this was undoubtedly one of the best meals that I have ever eaten, and my plethora of reviews suggests that I am lucky enough to eat an many of the finest restaurants. It all starts with the service and our waiter Eddie was one of the best, extremely intelligent and highly passionate about the foods offered at Marmalade. He... More

Very good degustation menu. Everything was perfect until we received the bill. We asked a 4 course menu. We were still hungry and we asked if it was possible to bring us a 5th plate and be charged for the 5 course menu. They didn't and rather than paying 10 more each, we were charged 35 more. No flexibility to... More

Terrific place. So many choices, and with a tasting menu (you choose, 4, 5 or 6 courses) you get to sample. Tonight a halibut cheek special blended in multiple flavored - morels, pea foam, cheese croquets. Their tiny white bean soup is so so good with truffle oil and chunks of pancetta. But so many more great things. And the... More

Food was excellent and interesting though the waiter was snobby and not very attentive. Support staff was much more enjoyable to interact with than our main waiter. Liked the creative variety of the food. Expensive wine list - though very large.

We went on a friends recommendation and didn't know what to expect. We were blown away! Incredible menu. We went with 4 course meal. With very solid advice from our server, Raul, we had a meal that we will remember for a long time. Crazy good flavors and some rare gluten free options. Raul really knows his food pairings and... My daughter and I both have celiac disease so finding restaurants to accomodate when we are traveling, can be challenging. There were lots of choices for us since the menu is 85% gluten free. Every course was beautifully prepared and tasted outstanding. The owner/chef spent 20 minutes talking to us at the conclusion of our meal. I would recommend EVERYONE... More

We were excited to try this restaurant after reading the reviews. The decor is beautiful, very modern and funky. Our waiter was friendly but also a little pushy. He seemed disappointed that we ordered individual entrees instead the the tasting meal. We did not order the famous bean soup so they brought us a complimentary cup to try. It was... More

The unique combinations of ingredients mostly worked to turn out a fabulous dish. Sometimes not so much. I would, however, go back just for the soup if nothing else. It was outstanding!

We had another great dinner at marmalade! My husband and I went on Saturday night to another sold out evening! We both had the 4 course tasting menu. It was delicious! The wine is expensive. A glass of Sauvignon blanc was $22. US . Overall a great mea but expensive!
