This place was hyped up in the guidebook we bought, but I think the info must have been outdated. It's got a nice feel, bu the food is expensive and boring, and the drinks suck. It's not the worst, but it's not good either..been there twice to give it a second chance but won't be back. more
My hisband and I stumbled on the Parrot Club while in Old San Juan. I had the steak and my husband had the a pork dish. The food was absolutely amazing, my steak was soo juicy and tasty . Defintely a must in Puerto Rico more
We went to this restaurant in old San Juan and ordered 3 different appetizers...the PR nachos were made with plantains and absolutely wonderful....I really liked this place better than any other in SJ in the 2 weeks we were there. more
Worse service while on the island, a quick lunch ended up taking almost 2 hours. Better off trying a different place. We ended up complaining a received two free desserts, best part of the meal. Come to think of it, just go for the dessert guava flan... more
My friend and I were wandering around San Juan on a Sunday and discovered this gem. The food was fantastic--grilled chicken salad (ground candied walnuts & papaya balsamic dressing--to die for!) and a fabulous taco salad, complete with vegetable tacos. There are so many wonderful restaurants in Old San Juan, do not waste a meal here. The service is awful and the food is mediocre. Go elsewhere! more
I have been to Parrot Club about 3 or 4 times.. The first couple of times, we enjoyed the visit. Only on the first visit did we have an exceptional waiter. The last visit there (6/08) the drinks were watery and tasted horrible. I could not eat the food for the first time and literally vomited about 10 steps outside... more
