Terrific food and service!

The wait staff was attentive and diligent! I wanted grilled shrimp which was not on the menu and they accommodated me without hesitation. I will definitely be back to sample their menu!

I remember when Via Appia was a place for good food and drinks for a reasonable price... Now you better be Donald Trump because the prices are out of control like the Presidential Candidate... A $32.00 Ossobuco plate in a pizza joint is ridiculous ... I went with my son and the bill was $75.00 !!

During a 2 day stay in San Juan following our week in St.Maarten, we chose Via Appia for dinner on our first night. Our reason for choosing this restaurant was the crowd on the patio and the waiting line to get in. It appeared to be mostly locals which is the best indicator that they offer great food. We managed... More

Busy place with really bad service. Don't go unless you have a couple hours to kill. I sat at the bar and the bartender was so busy working the service bar that everyone at the bar was ignored. They need more staff but are obviously too cheap to do so.

A great neighborhood joint. Friendly and courteous service. The clientele is friendly and neighborly. The food is excellent but do not limit yourself to pizza. Ask for the specials of the day and enjoy local cuisine. If you have a hankering for something special that is not on the menu, ask for the chef, Leo. The friendliest bartender in town,... More

Had a taste for Italian and found this great place with an expansive outdoor patio. Ordered chicken parm and it did not disappoint. The owner (from Brooklyn) stopped by to talk to us several times.

We arrived in San Juan last night and went to this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend. We wanted to watch the USA women's World Cup match, and were looking in top see if there were tv's available. A gentleman came out, welcomed us, and went out of his way to make sure we were in front of a... More

Our first night in Puerto Rico ALWAYS starts off here. Their pizza and meatballs are out of this world. The place is always filled with a ton of locals, so you know that it's a great spot. The sangria is not to shabby either!

We are an Italian family from New York. Eating at Via Appia was like eating with our family and friends back home. It was a treat to find such a gem in San Juan. The menu had lots of options from pizza to classic chicken parm. Service was friendly and helpful-very accommodating to special requests. We got pizza to go... More
