Simple, but delicious

Our family had dinner here - hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries and sweet potato fries. Can't beat the simplicity and it was good. It was also a nice change to have a reasonably priced meal.

This is a go to staple for everyone in the San Juan Metro area. The hamburgers, practically the only item on the menu (they also serve hot dogs), are super fresh, tasty. and served your way(swiss, blue, cheddar or american cheese, with or without bacon, onions, and lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. They are on the small and thick side, and... More

Great hamburger with onion rings and fries. Just a hole in the wall but safe environment. Nice waiter and excellent service.

Who would have thought that we would have succumbed to a "you gotta try it" recommendation. But we did and were very happy with the unique venue, food, price, and service. This is a must see and try hamburger joint which is like and old run down White Castle. The burger is big and juicy, the fries excellent but came... More

So we went to El Hamburger as it was the talk of the town. All the locals say we have to try it. We went for lunch. The service was strange in they brought you your side dish before your burger with the drinks. By the time you received your burger your side dish was gone. Server seemed like she... More

Good hamburgers for very little money, that is the bottom line. Plenty of local flavor. This is not the best place for a hamburger. Old San Juan has famous El Patio with far superior burgers but also more expensive. El Hamburger is more of a cultural landmark. I recommend eating there if you are in the vicinity of Escambron beach.... More

Just stopped in this hole in the wall joint in San Juan. We had burgers and onion rings. Service was really fast and the food was great. We ate for 2 under $20 with tip, which was a welcomed find in the city. I would recommend it if you are in old San Juan and want a fast lunch.

Five great cheese burgers with french fries and drinks for $44. Made fresh to order in just minutes. The place is basic in appearance and very popular with locals. We went on the recommendation of a Puerto Rican cousin. Such a contrast with generic fast food places. Easy to find on Google, give it a go if you are in... More
