I agree with the previous review, that it is good to visit for historic reason, but the food was average. We ordered 4 different kinds of Monfoso, they were kind of too salty, and the fried green banana is kind of hard, does not have much of flavor.the drink was ok.

We ate lunch here on a Friday and got right in. We sat in the courtyard patio and it was beautiful. Lots of local art and Puerto Rico culture shines. There are a few parrots in the courtyard which was fun. Come here to have a pina colada and the local Puerto Rican dish mofongo. Husband and I shared a... More

I had their pina colada twice on two visits. The first time it was great. The second time it was a bit too strong and I think they made it differently, it wasn't mixed properly. The food was delicious and service was great. A very good atmosphere for groups!

Perhaps because it was Christmas Eve, but the service was terrible. We were seated before 5, but didn't receive our food until after 6! The waiter didn't really check on us either & when we asked for an extra bowl for the hot soup it was never brought to us. The fish I had (whole red snapper, grilled) was delicious.... More

As the birthplace of the Pina Colada, it deserved a visit, but in hindsight I would not have bothered to stay for dinner. Food was just OK, and frankly, the Pina Colada was not that great either. Loved Old San Juan though. Park outside and walk in though, as it is very tough to find parking on the narrow streets... More

The Pina Colada drink was invented here so we had to try it. It did not resemble the ones I've ever had. There was plenty of fun in it along with a slight pineapple and coconut flavor, but it wasn't served icy cold, just barely cool. The appetizers we had were pretty standard fare but quite expensive. The tres leches... More

A respite from the heat of San Juan, especially the piña colada (we did non-alcoholic). The food was very good, especially the mofongo. Service was efficient and friendly. Would eat here again I without a second thought.

We only had one night to eat in Old San Juan, and we wanted authentic food. My husband and I got the Mofongo which is a traditional dish with plantains at the center. I "think" it was gluten free, anyway I didn't get a stomach ache. I am not advising anyone else to take this risk however. The atmosphere is... More

Just had to try the Pina Coladas. Very good. We ordered some appys as well and ate in the outdoor courtyard. Service was good and staff were very friendly. Would recommend this if you are walking around San Juan.

Home of the Piña Colada. The drinks were very good & the appetizers were good as well. Need to experience this restaurant. Will visit each time I Make it to San Juan.
