The blended mango mojito is amazing! It was the best mojito I had in PR. There is an awesome server named Jose (he's tall, bald & super friendly) who chose our drinks & food for us, and we were not disappointed at all. The quality of food/drinks speaks for itself, but he made the experience even more enjoyable. I had... More

We stopped in here on a Sunday evening after doing some window shopping in Old San Juan. Turned out it was where the Pina Colada was invented. The restaurant does have open air dining, as well as an air-conditioned dining room. We were seated in the dining room, and quickly waited upon by our server that suggested Pina Coladas to... More

This is a very busy restaurant, especially when the cruise lines are in port. One may have to wait a bit to be seated, but it will be well worth it. My wife and I both had dishes we've never heard of before and loved every bite. The plantain mash and local beer are a must. Will definitely visit this... More

Second time to Old San Juan and second visit to Barrachina. Food is great especially the plantain dish. The best Pina Colada we have ever had. Found out about it by a taxi driver because we needed a place to store our luggage for a few hours between our return from a cruise until the flight left. They have a... More

We were on a walking tour of Old San Juan and this was one of our stops. They know their Rum. It seems Don Q and not Bacardi is king on this island. Although they were only small samples, this was the best Pina Colada I have ever tasted.

The fried plantain canoe that we had there was absolutely delicious and you must try the mofongo. Then top it all off with some coconut flan and their famous pina coladas. You will leave satisfied!

Barrachina without a doubt was an incredible restaurant. The food, the service, and the price was just fantastic and definitely worth it. Not to mention the incredible flamenco show that they have on fridays and saturdays, just a spectacular show to go and enjoy with your family. I had a plate called pollo campestre which Barrachina is known for, it... More

Barrachina was recommended to us by a shopkeeper in Old San Juan and we were definitely pleased with his recommendation. The atmosphere was very authentic, our server was extremely personable, and the appetizers and entrees were so delicious. As an added bonus, the restaurant boasts to be the sight of the first pina colada back in 1963 and they do... More

This was one of the most authentic restaurants my boyfriend and I ate at while we stayed in PR. The pina colada's are delicious and the food was amazing. We sat in the courtyard to eat and the design feels so old world. Overall, it was a great experience.
