Nice family dinner

Atmosphere was very pretty and relaxing. Service was excellent. Pina Colada was super yummy! I had the fried snapper and it was crispy and juicy. The fried grouper appetizer was good, but wish it came with something other than tartar sauce. Had a nice time with my family and we all enjoyed our... read more

Our meal at Barrachina was probably the low point of an otherwise wonderful long weekend in San Jaun. We were sucked in by the history of the place that invented the Pina Colada, but left wishing we had tried somewhere else instead. We waited for several minutes to be seated in a fairly empty restaurant because the host was outside... More

While working on the cruise ship have been tones of time at this restaurant. I think I tried almost entire menu and still every time it's difficult to decide what I would like to eat "this time". Also the important sign for a good restaurant is when you see many locals. They know where to eat! :) It's always packed... More

Barrachina was noted for their pina coladas, but their food is also excellent. We made reservations for the flamenco show and was not disappointed.

They claim they invented the Pina Colada, but so does many other restaurants and bars, but the do make a darn good Pina Colada! The menu was well stocked with authentic Puerto Rican dishes, the quality of the food we had was very good, the prices are reasonable, and the clientele was mostly locals.

After some really fantastic meals on Vieques, this restaurant was very disappointing. The story of originating the Pina Colada may attract the cruise crowd, but the food was a disappointment and the service was only average.

Stored our luggage here (free) and walked around old San Juan. We bought a virgin pina colada. They have some nice parrots too. Very convenient for us prior to our cruise.

On our visit to Old San Juan, we were taken to restaurant Barrachina for dinner. The food was amazing. Our group - mostly family, chose the special of the day, which was a fried pork chop delicately placed on top of a mound of mofongo. The plate was garnished with chorizo and succulent grilled shrimp. It tasted as amazing as... More

Our family of 4 had dinner, piña coladas and watched the Flamingo dancers for a very nice evening out - food was very good and the dancers were excellent.

Great restaurant! We ordered Piña Coladas and shrimp mofungo. Both were excellent! Wonderful atmosphere and service was superior! Will definitely go back! Pricing was very reasonable.
