Still a fun place to dine in Old San Juan. Food is good and the pina colada originated HERE! We went for lunch and it can be a bit crowded. We sat at the bar and of course I had a pina colada. Didn't take long to be seated, seriosuly I only had one! You can dine in a/c or... More

If you love Piña Coladas, even if, like me, you are not the biggest fan of them, you must stop by Barrachina’s in Old San Juan and have one or two or maybe even three!! It’s the home of the original Piña Colada, and they live up to the expectation. I am not big on this drink, but after having... More

Nice place. There were two options to try the pina colada, a tasting portion or a full drink. Very good drink by the way. Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. A must visit when in Old San Juan.

Had to stop here after visiting the castles. We had appetizers and of course pina coladas. We sat outside, and although it was hot, it was very nice. The service was nice and the appetizer plate was very good. They have 2 nice gift shops and was able to find some nice reasonably priced souvenirs here as well. I would... More

Got a recommendation from our Hotel for good local cuisine in Old San Juan. Wait staff was very helpful and made excellent drink suggestions (sangria, pina colada and a spin on the mojito)! Two of us shared a large whole grilled snapper which was wonderful and plenty for 2 of us with veggies and rice and beans. Another in our... More

Great food and of course pina coladas (home of the pina colada in 1963) I had the whole fish 24 oz red snapper, fried with great herb seasoning. The dish was to die for came with rice and chic peas and then a rich chocolate ice cream to finish. Restaurant in great area of Olde San Juan.

My fiancé & I went here on our last day of vacationing in Puerto Rico! I heard they were the birth place of piña coladas (which I love) so I was happy when the piña coladas were delicious!! We had a simple shrimp in garlic sauce for appetizer which was tasty but the kicker was my mofongo!!! It was soooo... More

The food and ambience are great. You will eat plenty of plantain which is the local food in Puerto Rico. It sometimes gets crowded so you might need to book in advance.
