Interesting menu, fresh food

Found this quaint little restaurant as we wandered around Old San Juan. The food was very good and very fresh. It was not traditional island cuisine if that is what you are looking for. But it was local, fresh and delicious. Loved the decor! I am not sure it would be a great restaurant for... read more

I have been to PR several times for business and never seemed to be able to fit the restaurant into my agenda. With it's outstanding reviews, I was SO excited to add this meal to my trip this past April. The decor is amazingly quaint and the servers excelled at being efficient without being haughty. That said, the food was... More

The ambience is pretty cool. You will feel as if you are in southern france. We tried some of their veg. food and loved it.

We wanted a restaurant with great seafood and vegetarian choices and were not disappointed! This small (suggest you get there early if you want to be sure to get a table- no reservations are possible- we got there at 6:30 on a Saturday evening) and intimate charming restaurant has incredibly gracious staff- we asked to sit by the window and... This is a very cute restaurant, the food is healthy and delicious at the same time. It is a very creative and unique menu and environment. The staff of course was excellent. I had a lentil based soup and a tuna salad with very unique set of mixed greens.

This restaurant puts fresh ingredients together in new and exciting ways and the result is delicious. My husband and I had dinner here one evening and we were really impressed with the friendly attentive service and unique flavors. There are a variety of daily specials on a chalkboard that the server brings to your table and explains in detail before... More

We enjoyed an amazing dinner at Verde Mesa; the menu is ~ 1/2 vegetarian and 1/2 fresh seafood. Our vegetarian dinners were mouth wateringly delicious- and the dessert out of this world. The interior is beautifully designed in a Tuscan inspired theme. The staff were gracious hosts. All of the files is locally sourced, giving a unique Puerto Rican alternative... More

Verse Mesa is a wonderful restaurant in Old San Juan. It is located on a beautiful street away from the crowds of the old town. The food is absolutely wonderful. I love the creative menu. I have been to the restaurant three times and always have the same pleasant experience. Great place for diner.

I love yuca, but there comes a time when you want something light, fresh, and local if possible. I've read that the best (only?) vegetables in San Juan are grown by individuals in their gardens for restaurants. This must be one that's getting them. After many meals of stew and starch and cooking from the shocking grocery stores, it was... More

This place is in my top 3 favorite places. The food, the service, the drinks, everything. The quality of the food is exeptional, is just perfect.
