this place is the 2nd stop right off the plane from NYC and the last place to stop before boarding to go back to NYC. Reasonable pricing, great atmosphere and always good food. Thank you Casa De Espana for always making me come back for more. Tom

The food is fantastic, the restaurant is set in a Historic Spanish Fraternity House that takes you back in time to spanish colonial days. The owner Mario is there to greet you and he spends some time to chat interacting with everyone. Great selection of wines, we had as an appetizer "huevos estrellados" its not in the menu (ask your... Wonderful Food! Beautiful location at Casa Espana. My family loves traditional Spanish food and rarely pass up the opportunity wherever we may find ourselves to enjoy a great Paella, Ceviche or Iberco ham tapa. We started off with the croquettas de jamon which reminded me of my grandmothers. They were lightly breaded on the outside and on the inside a... More

When I was a very young teen (50's) our school dances were held at the Casa de Espana. So it was a real treat to have lunch with my husband while visitng old San Juan. We started with ceviche which was wonderful. And of course we had to have the lobster risotto(paella). It was beautifully cooked. I know we had... More

We went here for our 10th anniversary. What a treat! We honeymooned in Spain & were thrilled to be in this century old building that was once a private club. We truly felt like we had traveled back to Spain. The restaurant is modern but still offers old world cuisine. We each had the pulpo gall ego as an appetizer... More

This restaurant had been closed for several years and has been consistently improving over the past year. I had dinner there last Friday with a group of friends and we had a very enjoyable time. This Restaurant is tucked away in the second floor of the Casa De Espana, in itself a memorable puertorrican institution representing some of the very... More

Recently my daughter got married in old san juan puerto rico...and we needed a decent restaurant to set up a table for 22 people. Casa de Espana was more than accommodating as a last minute venue.after a beautiful ceremony next of the el Morro castle we headed to Casa de Espana for hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. we sat in their... Food quality, size of portions, and consistency of service are down considerably. Ordered prawns (langostinos) and were small, pricey and only 4 per order (in most places 6 is standard). The wine list is average and expensive. Service was attentive to the point of being intrusive (they are unaware of when and how to serve wine). I was disappointed because... More

After a long day of navigating through San Juan, some friends and I stumbled upon Casa de Espana. We were at the point where we were just tired and hungry so after a quick look at reviews on the place we agreed to try it out. We were very pleased upon arrival with the warm welcome we received! The part... More
