We ate here several times when we were vacationing in San Juan. It is very close to the Marriott. It has live music in the evenings. The food is great - The chicarrones (fried chicken) was amazing. Great dining option - reasonable prices, happy hour and cheap local beer.

Ate there the first night we arrived in San Juan. We were all happy with our dinners. Service was VERY slow. Our waiter Will was very apologetic and told us it was the kitchen's fault/ He was really busting his butt doing his job and more. Gave us all free drinks and he was a really likeable guy. He made... We were looking for something very casual and very local fare. Cafe Del Angel offered just that. Offered in door and outdoor seating and directly across from the La Concha. The food was Puerto Rican and very enjoyable. The staff was helpful in choosing the food, explaining how it was prepared and how it was presented. For a first nite... More

The owner of our B and B, Natalia, recommended this place as an authentic, classic dining experience, where the locals go. It turned out to be that and a little more. We ate a late lunch at Cafe de Angel, and returned after dinner later to have dessert (me) and cocktails (my husband). I made the mistake of ordering the... More

We ate at Angel's and were not as happy as we were in the past. The food was ok but nothing special. The staff was friendly- a little slow maybe. The atmosphere was fine. I would not stay away but we will look at other places next year

For our first morning in Puerto Rico, we searched along Ashford Avenue not far from our hotel. We lucked into this restaurant, advertising Puerto Rican food and fruit bar. It was lucky for us. We had such great breakfasts (party of four) that we went back the following two mornings. I really enjoyed the omelets and my wife favored the... More

The waiter Roberto was top notch and very professional. Very attentive and made me feel right at home. His drink recommendations were right on and the Mofongo was out of this world as well as the appetizers. Roberto said afterwards that "You cant come to Puerto Rico and not have mofongo"..Afterwards when I had finished he said; "NOW your a... More

We had the best time with Bryan at Cafe Angel. He was so much fun, made the perfect food recommendations and made delicious cocktails. This is a must-visit spot in Condado. Enjoy!
