OMG... This place was excellent from the music(karaoke), servers, atmosphere and food. You will get your money's worth and definitely want to eat here again. You must eat here.

Cafe Del Angel is a great local restaurant and bar located directly across from the La Concha Resort. The food is very tasty across the board. I had the Churassco Mufongo and it was fabulous. The staff makes their own hot sauce that is provided to each table in a Patron bottle. It is spicy and flavorful with just a... More

Friendly staff! I had the canoa which was delicious. I also tried the Mofongo with beef. It was really good but really heavy. I couldn't eat it all. My hubby had the baked chicken and red beans and rice. He enjoyed it. Dinner for 2 with drinks came up to about $30.00. Pretty decent and affordable

I found this place while walking on Ashford ave. The host sweet talked me into dining and I eagerly obliged. We had small talk and then I asked him about traditional Puerto Rican food and he made a recommendation for me. I ordered the rice and peas with fried chicken chunks and sweet plantains. Delicious. I then ordered the fried... More

My husband and I arrived in San Juan late and wanted something local and close to eat. We were staying across the street and were directed to the cafe. There was great live music, open air and a good happy hour. The only down side was that it was very slow and very busy. It truly was local in the... More

I tried the mofongo and if you are an adventurous eater you will probably love it. It is very filling and tastes great. The waiter warned us that we wouldn't like it if we don't like trying new things but it was definitely worth it. Check it out if in the area!

Came here for a late, weeknight meal when most other restaurants were closed. We were apprehensive at first because this was not among the handful of places that had been recommended to us by locals, but nevertheless, we were pleasantly surprised by the find. The alcoholic beverage selection is vast and fairly priced, and the menu has many great options.... More

Love love love the food here. Good portions. Authentic Spanish food. Don't eat at the hotels experience the real cuisines of Puerto Rico. Great prices and you will be full afterwards. Had a few different choices and enjoyed them all. Brian the bartender is the best. Makes great drinks and is very good company, down to earth and will have... More

Directly across from La Conch. Excellent breakfast at unbelievable prices!! Excellent lunches as well. Good service and friendly waitstaff! Never had dinner here as we prefer a little more upscale. Unfortunately due to a power outage, the restaurant was closed for our last 3 says of vacation.

This restaurant was recommended to me by several Puerto Ricans. Ambiance isn't everything, but the dining area is disappointing (laminant tables, stark tile floors, Spanish soap operas on TV). The food is very reasonably priced, and the portions are generous, but the food is not excellent. While Cafe Angel was not a bad experience, it wasn't special. If you have... More
