Right across the street

This was a place right across from our hotel that we ate breakfast and dinner at a few times. Warning: if you go with a large party expect a LONG wait for your food.

Spent a long week end in San Juan waiting to get on our cruise ship. Our friends had never been to Puerto Rico & they wanted to eat authentic Puerto Rican food. Our hotel was in the Condado district, so we decided to walk along Ashford Avenue. We saw this place as we were walking and decided to have dinner... More

After hearing about the wonderful mofongos and other PR dishes I was really looking forward to trying the cuisine. This place was recommended. The food had no taste and the chicken was way over-cooked. I'll try some recipes to see if this is how they actually cook on the island.

I've been here 5 times in the past 3 years and enjoyed ever meal. One can either sit inside or outside. Wait staff is friendly.

This is a very clean restaurant in the Candado area. It was recommended by our hotel. We had a group of 7 and except for the young lady who ordered fried chicken (no clue what she was thinking) we all enjoyed our food. I ordered fish and it was mild and perfectly cooked. The price was fair, $83 with tip... More

We were in San Juan a couple of days early for a cruise and decided to eat at Café Angel. We had eaten here before on previous pre-cruise stays and were pleased that it remains just as good if not better. Great atmosphere, service, food and reasonable prices. Kid/family friendly and our friends who arrived in San Juan a day... More

I got the lobster and rice which was good, but I crunched down on lobster shell a few times in the rice. Not good. Happy hour was great. Service was good. I would go again but would not get the lobster.

Great food, highly recommend the Mofongo (we had the Pollo). But the bathrooms are dirty, and the service is nice very inexperienced.

This place is not the fanciest establishments, but where it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up for it in the taste of it's food. I can't pronounce the dish I had but it contained chicken and rice, which was just as amazing as the city of San Juan.
