Best Dinner I ever had !!

Simply work of art. Me and my hubby shared sesame crusted tuna first. It was delicious. Then we ordered the Japanese skirt steak, and OMG . Every bite you can taste the merging flavors of different spices. It was really a work of art. The corn on the side was not just a corn. It was heavenly made... read more

Had lunch while touring the Old Town. Very local feel. Had 3 soft pulled pork tortillas which were excellent. $9. Just steps from the Castillo de San Cristobal. Service was friendly and great.

My wife and I went there for our 33rd wedding anniversary. Very nice local vibe. We started with one of their special margaritas, which was tasty. For appetizer we shared the ceviche, which was quite good. I had the fajitas, which reminded me of a local authentic Mexican place back home. Enjoyable evening.

We came across La Madre by chance while looking for a somewhere still open quite late at night. We were glad we did. The place was packed with locals but luckily we got the last available table for two. First up we ordered Margaritas...excellently made and we re-ordered immediately we took our first sips ! The food has the usual... More

My wife and I tried this restaurant on the first night of our Old San Juan vacation and loved everything about it. Intimate atmosphere, friendly staff, great drinks and an eclectic menu. Try the pork ribs with cocoa and pepper sauce for a unique, delicious experience.

What a gem of a place. It has a wonderful atmosphere and great decor. The staff provide excellent, attentive service for excellent value. The pork ribs with cocoa and chilli are to die for; the best ribs we have ever tasted. It is also fun to sample the large selection of margueritas. The coconut was my favourite.

I love this little place. The decoration of the clouds and everything, really is so cute. I am not a fan of Mexican food so I go with the shrimo and mofongo which is sooooo good. I love it. My fave plate from there is the tortilla soup though. They throw in the tortillas first in the bowl and then... More

We wandering in this small restaurant by chance and had an amazing dining experience. Our server Ishmael was incredible! He was wonderfully warm and knowledgeable. We could tell he was passionate about the food and drinks and loves his job. From our cocktails, to appetizers, to entrees, to dessert - everything was delicious and had a unique artisan flair. We went to La Madre because they had ceviche and it was one of the best I've had. The freshness of the fish was one thing, but they way the fish was sliced (thicker) made it perfect to soak in the acids and flavors but still had the taste and texture of "uncooked" fish. On another time, we tried their... More
