My wife and I tried this restaurant on the first night of our Old San Juan vacation and loved everything about it. Intimate atmosphere, friendly staff, great drinks and an eclectic menu. Try the pork ribs with cocoa and pepper sauce for a unique, delicious experience.

What a gem of a place. It has a wonderful atmosphere and great decor. The staff provide excellent, attentive service for excellent value. The pork ribs with cocoa and chilli are to die for; the best ribs we have ever tasted. It is also fun to sample the large selection of margueritas. The coconut was my favourite.

I love this little place. The decoration of the clouds and everything, really is so cute. I am not a fan of Mexican food so I go with the shrimo and mofongo which is sooooo good. I love it. My fave plate from there is the tortilla soup though. They throw in the tortillas first in the bowl and then... More

We wandering in this small restaurant by chance and had an amazing dining experience. Our server Ishmael was incredible! He was wonderfully warm and knowledgeable. We could tell he was passionate about the food and drinks and loves his job. From our cocktails, to appetizers, to entrees, to dessert - everything was delicious and had a unique artisan flair. Prices... More

We went to La Madre because they had ceviche and it was one of the best I've had. The freshness of the fish was one thing, but they way the fish was sliced (thicker) made it perfect to soak in the acids and flavors but still had the taste and texture of "uncooked" fish. On another time, we tried their... More

The menu at this restaurant was very enticing and the food/drinks did not disappoint! I had a coconut margarita which I will crave for weeks, very yummy! The tamarindo margarita is good too! The food was amazing! My partner and I had some appetizers and both loved our choices, I had the lettuce wrapped fish tacos and he had the... More

Awesome Margaritas! Not just your typical margaritas. Mocha (my favorite!), watermelon, cucumber and the list goes on! Very friendly staff! I have a new appreciation for margaritas! The food looked good too but didn't try it. Going back again!!

Really creative and delicious take on Mexican food - the duck was fantastic, and we made note of the house wine to purchase at home later on. The climb to the bathroom reminded me of an apartment I once rented where the toilet was the highest point in the house, which was a nice nostalgic touch. Conveniently located.

You won't be disappointed if you stop in here. It's obvious the chef loves what she does as the food is amazing. Amanda made recommendations to us and we were blown away! I literally wanted to hug or kiss the cook when we finished our meal. This is a must stop at destination!
