We stayed over night in San Juan to catch a cruise ship the next day. We asked a lady at Senior Frogs where a good place for breakfast would be. She directed us to Café Manolin. We are so glad she did. This is a very quaint place. Like a little diner. The food and service were great and very... More

My husband and I were in SPR for a day on the MSC Divina and asked the locals were we could have a typical Puerto Rican lunch and they said to go to a purple colored building names Café Manolin. Boy was it good? Best mofongo with shrimp, rice and red beans and 'Amarillo's or ripened bananas (platanos maduros) I... More

I enjoyed my meal at Cafe Manolin. I remembered the food tasting better. The mofungo was dry. I remember it being more moist and tasty. I would go again because I enjoy the atmosphere and quaintness of Cafe Manolin.

Go there once or twice a week for breakfast and occasionally for lunch. You cannot beat the prices at Manolín plus the food quality is exceptional. All thenbreakfast choices and the lunch daily specials are hard to pass when shopping, working or sightseeing in the old city. Manolín is clean, cool and the service is personalized. I strongly recommend it... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the smoothie guy on the square. He told us it's where all the "locals" go and he wasn't kidding. The place was jumping, but the service was very friendly and nice. I got pork chops and my niece got the mofongo. It was all very good and simple comfort food. I really enjoyed it... More

My wife and I were strolling through the streets Old San Juan when we were getting hungry. We stopped at the Chicago Burger Co. And we're looking at their menu. We explained to the waiter we were looking for authentic Puerto Rican food so he gave us directions to Cafe Manolin. It's a small place but man do they give... More

My husband and I were lucky to walk by Cafe Manolin today before heading back home to the states and both had the skirt steak meal with their restaurant made chimichurri sauce... One word, DELICIOUS! It wasn't a fancy meal but it was the perfect local meal and spot to dine at before we left Puerto Rico. Definitely a local... More

Wow! Loved the Cafe and Food. Ate here on a recommendation from the staff at Chateau Cervantes and throughly enjoyed it. My wife had the Puerto Rican Steak and I had the Chicken with Beans, Rice and Amarillo's. Topped it off with a Cafe Espresso Taza, awesome. Our first meal when we return for our next cruise.
