Found ourselves overnight in San Juan and wanted an authentic local restaurant. We were so happy to walk through a safe neighborhood to find this cute little local gem. The wait staff was so friendly and accommodating to us, recommending all the best dishes! Food was good and the atmosphere was great. Loved the sangria and the croquettes. Rice and... More

The manager was very accommodating! We brought 15 people in at 9:00 pm and they were very busy but they opened the rooftop patio for us. We had a private birthday party on the patio!

This place is definitely a diamond in the rough. Spectacular food with a local vibe. Parking sucks but its was definitely worth it. This place is highly recommended in my book.

La Casita Miramar was amazing. I had the advacado stuffed with mahi mahi and the salad that came with it was simply the best I have ever eaten with fresh pineapple in it and goats cheese. The sangria was amazing as well. I am going to return to San Juan in November and plan to visit this restaurant again.

After spending over a week in San Juan, this was the best restaurant by far that we visited. They provided very fast service and delicious food. Within a minute of sitting, we were provided complimentary fritters followed by free plantain soup with home made hot sauce. Each course was written on a 3 foot tall chalkboard sat at the table.... We were staying at the Hotel Miramar and this restaurant was right around the corner. I had researched previously and wanted to try Mofongo. There is a small outdoor area and a larger indoor area. It is all up one floor from street level. The menu is written on a blackboard, one for appetizers and one for entrees. Lots of... More
