We really liked this place, the setting, the people the food. IT is a true local's place...we were one of the few non-locals there. Our dinners were spectacular, just keep in mind that they take there time at this restaurant. There is no rush to get you in or out...and no rush to get the food to you! Would go... More

Definitely worth visiting . Not too expensive and just delish. Located just across from fort Cristobal. Definitely try the monfongo specials.

My husband and I both had the chicken mofongo. It was good, and big. I couldn't eat all of mine. There was a salad on the side, but no dressing..... Prices were very reasonable, considering how expensive food in PR seems to be.

Glad we happened upon this café as our last place to eat and grab drinks prior to departing Puerto Rico. We tried the Café Puerto Rico Special which was phenomenal and the seafood and Mofongo was great too! We were lucky enough to have street side seating, which added to the experience and for the most part, service was decent.... More

With a small but cozy patio right in the middle of Old Town next to Plaza Colon. Food was excellent and the waiters very friendly. Highly recommended

A transplanted local recommended this restaurant to us. Expect that you will wait 15-20 minutes at lunch time, but it is worth the wait. Eat outside if you can. The food is the same either way, but the people watching is more fun outside. They have everything from very elaborate fish dishes to simple salads. The seafood is all great.

Right in the middle of old San Juan with out door seating (very small) but the food was very good and affordable. Dinner for two came out to $37 with appetizer. It was very, very yummy ordered steak with onions and the meat was soft. The only compliant I have was the wait was longer than I was told -... More

Our hotel staff recommend this restaurant for dinner and it was a short walk away in Old San Juan. We luckily got there early and were able to get a table. The staff was very friendly and the service was timely. The appetizer and meals were excellent - easily our best meal in the two days we stayed in the... More

Apparently everyone goes here for the coffee. I couldn't wait to try it. My opinion was the coffee was just 'meh' ...not all that great. I guess if your used to having American coffee then the Puerto Rican coffee is little sludgy. It leaves residue in your mouth and just not all that great. The service was slow but I... More

My wife and I had a half of a day in San Juan during cruise trip and one of the local art gallery owners recommended this cafe. Really nice spot. We were luck to be there before 6:30pm. Did not have to wait for more than a couple of minutes. Ordered mofongo relleno (local specialty). Here is how it looks:... More
