Jose Enrique has very good food and is super popular. we had the crab mofungo, the skirt steak and swordfish, and good wine. Yummy!!! there are no reservations, so you might have to wait a half an hour or more!! BUT, do not sweat it, you are in the Placita. just go down the street, while you wait, they have... More

Wish we had visited Jose Enrique earlier on our trip because we would have come back a second time. We started with the fish fritters which were delicious and not greasy at all. The two of us shared the beef stew and the whole fried fish. Never would have guessed the portion size would be so large for a $10... More

This restaurant is popular and always busy. Be sure to show up early or you might not find a spot to have some wonderful food and drinks. Besides the food, great service and people watching everyone in my party felt like they found their perfect eatery in San Juan and promised to return. Remember to go and eat early! Friday... More

Everything we had was awesome. The food was delicious and the price was really reasonable. We got there and it was kind of crowded, but we only waited for 1 hour to get a table, but we didn't care much. The services was beyond excellent, they gave us a lot of atenttion and when I told them it was my... More

Awful service, disrespectful chef/owner, prepotent waitress, incredibly over-priced food, dirty place. There are so many great places in Puerto Rico to have great food that I would not go through all the hassle to eat here, wait almost 2 hours, one and a half more to get our food, almost 30 minutes for dessert and then, if you dare to say... Visited on Sept 5th, had to wait over an hour for a table, this is a good sign for me! But so glad I patiently waited, the food is amazing. Ordered the churrasco and it was cooked to perfection. The service was good, waitress very courteous and attentive. Excellent choice!

Had higher expectations, food is very good but nor great. The waiting time is way too long, don't go hungry. For the price, i would recommend other places.

This was our second visit to Jose Enrique; the second just as good as the first. Our first might have been a little more fun, because we didn't know what to expect (we actually asked the cab driver where the restaurant was - we were standing right in front of it)! We had to get there early, even on a... More
