The restaurant is located in the heart of Condado and it is open 24 hours so it is very easy to end up there. The food is average to poor and expensive for what they serve. You can totally find something better around the area.

If you are familiar with Criollo type food you are in for a memory lane type of experience, just like home cooking. If you are not familiar with this type of food then you are in for a Culinary, mouthwatering experience. The ambiance is cool, they try to recreate a Puertorican type ambiance with many typical articles, and the waitress's... More

This was our first trip to Puerto Rico, and Latin Star was our first meal here. They offered traditional Puerto Rican food, and we really enjoyed it! It is located steps from our hotel. The service was a bit slow, but we were in no rush. We were not disappointed!

The mashed plantains weren't mashed, traded for mashed potatoes with horrible gravy. The grilled pork chops were very dry. Not very impressed. I expected much better.

Being a local, I feel ashamed of an establisment that is not open towards diversity; specifically when is comes to people visiting from other countries. After taking our orders, and bringing bottled water when we specifficaly said TAP water, they told my cousin and his boyfriend visiting from Poland that they couldnt kiss(eg. peck on the lips kiss) at an... This was the WORST experience I've ever had in San Juan. They stand outside, enticing you to come in. We were recommended to a restaurant a few doors down but there was a wait and we were tired from our trip so we allowed ourselves to be duped into going to this...I wouldn't even call it a restaurant since it... Really good PuertoRican food, seemingly authentic. Friendly service. Forgive me, but I thought it was a little racist to make them wear, like, the Chaquita Banana girl's dress. I mean, San Juan is Urban and modern and this just seems to pander to gross American idiots who expect the locals to put on a show. Also- kind of expensive. I... More

I always go here every year on my san juan trip. The food is delicious great prices and always made to taste and like. I love this place just be careful ordering the lobster tail its priced depending on the one they choose. Of course they choose the biggest one for my boyfriend and charged 65$ just for the tail.... The display of the fish got our attention & the price kept it :) Myself n family sat outside to enjoy the atmosphere, but the smoke from next door was not too pleasing, good thing it didn't last the duration of our meal. (However there is an option to dine inside) The food was good, we had some stew beef,... More
