We were not impressed with this place. While the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and the wait staff were nice, the Italian food was so-so and a bit pricey for our taste.

Our cruise ended in San Juan and we stayed one night at the El Convento. Just a block down Calle Cristo is the charming La Cucina di Ivo at 202 Calle Cristo. You can call 787-729-7070 for reservations. You can dine inside or on the patio. We chose the patio on this beautiful evening. The atmosphere is very romantic. The... More

We just happened upon this place and turned out to be an awesome taste of Italy. We got the seafood salad, seafood soup, and black pasta with (you guessed it) more seafood! Tender calamari, clams, shrimp, muscles, all done perfect. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend Awesome server (Rodolfo)!

I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the Italian restaurant we went to the night before that we weren't thrilled with. Has dining on the street. So the next night we went here and REALLY enjoyed it. Probably not low calorie. Dishes in yummy sauces, etc. Very tasty!! Loved the romantic courtyard dining. If we went back to PR... More

Our group had a true Italian meal at this restaurant. From antipasta, to a cappuccino to top the night off. The service was phenomenal as well. You can also share many of the dishes as the portions are quite large, but that way you get to try a variety. We had the fried tortellini to start in a truffle sauce,... More

Their biggest asset is the patio. It's cozy and charming excellent for a nice conversation. The service was really good, attentive and professional. To eat, the server recommended me pappardelle with lobster and it I was delicious although I have to say that the pasta was not cook enough. I love pasta and I always at it "al dente", but... More

Not only we tasted almost every menu option and off menu plates, but we had Campari, mojitos, wine and every desert! Service was good and knowledgeable of every little detail!!! We had a great family time and enjoyed this little gem in Old San Juan
