We discovered this place because our first choice for breakfast that morning was FULL… How lucky can you get! This place is great! Tasty food, ample choices, affordable prices, friendly service, unpretentious atmosphere, interesting people. Rather than just breakfast, we had some sort of “brunch-plus”… Coffee, fresh juices, mallorca sandwiches, empanadillas, mojitos, rice & beans, mofongo… By the way, we... More

There, said it thrice! We came here based on TripAdvisor reviews. Indeed, trifongo is it! Mofongo bores us, because we like maduros (yellow or ripe plantains) and mofongo uses the tasteless (to us) green plantains. Trifongo is a mix of yellow, green and yucca. Triple the yummy! We got the shrimps in garlic sauce, the chicken milanesa, and the steak.... More

We had been there a couple of times before and the food was great. But the last time (july 5 2014) the food had no taste whatsoever, I order the skirt if it wasn't because I knew what I order I wouldn't know because it had NO TASTE.... I don't think I will return..

Great local place, very nice staff. Husband had the trifongo and really liked it. The piña coladas are the best I've ever had!

Referred to this cafe by gift shop worker at the El Morro fort. It is on side street but was worth looking for. The cafe and rest room was clean and air conditioning worked. Our waitress Obdulitza was very friendly and recommended the trefongo, which was excellent. The beer was cold and they made a fresh fruit drink with mangos... More

The friendly and helpful staff suggested trifongo. Everything on the menu was a local dish. It was a great first meal in PR!
