Great local place, very nice staff. Husband had the trifongo and really liked it. The piña coladas are the best I've ever had!

Was expecting a nice meal after reading all reviews. Waitress are friendly but waited for 30 mins for meal to come. Thought it's trifongo steak turned out like stroganoff. Meat was pre cooked. Sauce was hot meat was cold. $17 after tax is a joke. U guys better go to the cafe next to RadioShack . Steak is $10 before... More

Referred to this cafe by gift shop worker at the El Morro fort. It is on side street but was worth looking for. The cafe and rest room was clean and air conditioning worked. Our waitress Obdulitza was very friendly and recommended the trefongo, which was excellent. The beer was cold and they made a fresh fruit drink with mangos... More

The friendly and helpful staff suggested trifongo. Everything on the menu was a local dish. It was a great first meal in PR!

Thanks to my good friends on TA, we sought out and found this nice little restaurant after walking the outer wall of Old San Juan and visiting the forts of Morro and Cristobal. This place has a nice character and despite being tucked away on a side street is well worth the trip. The service was phenomenal. Our server made... More

Tucked into the bylanes of Old San Juan, this little Deli serves some really nice local food. The staff are warm and welcoming, easy to converse with and helpful. However if you do not speak Spanish, your conversations have to be animated! We ordered a Trifongo with Chicken (Tomato Gravy), a SanJuanero Burger (with chicken) and a Grouper Ceviche. We... More

Everytime we go to the Old San Juan, we plan to make this stop. On weekends you can try a nice breakfast and believe me, it's superb. Everyday you can go for lunch or dinner and you will find a fine cuisine with a great taste and a very good service. The owners are great people and always work hard... More

Old San Juan, around corner from my hotel. Lunch day before boarding cruise ship, and breakfast the day of. Nice strong coffee; the local style almost like expresso. Longish wait, but hey, this is not fast food, but good food.I was the only english speaking customer both times, hearing other table chatter.
