Like a small town drug store

Only better. Get there before 10, sit at the counter and watch the sugary pastries being prepared like paninis and a coffee cup ne'er goes dry. A great mix of locals and tourists.

Keep in mind I was pregnant with twins during the trip, but I fell in love with the guava fruit pastries...so much so I think I had about 3 a day! Breakfast wasn't all that great for my husband, but I thought the baked goods more than made up for it! So, we agreed breakfast elsewhere...and pastries over and over!

I love this place. It is like going back in time to how it was in the neiborhood or small town cafes. The food is so good, wether is breakfast or lunch. I had an omellette and I was so please to see that it was cooked with petit pois among the other ingredients. Love it! The hot chocolate is... More

My visit to Cafe Mallorca was this past month of March 7th of 2015. Let me tell you that I really enjoyed my time there. I had the pleasure to meet Eric Vallejos and he was excellet with the service and the very friendly chat that we had it was interesting. He made me feel like I was the only... More

This is a great place to have an authentic Puerto Rican breakfast. The Mallorca are delicious. The place is very busy. The coffee is good & strong.

We were told to try this Bakery by our landlord and were enchanted by the mallorcas. We bought pastries to go for lunch/snack and they were delicious and very reasonably priced....

We went here for breakfast twice because of the Tripadvisor reviews, which in it's self is an endorsement. Have a Mallorca with egg, ham and cheese. It's covered with powdered sugar, so it's kind of different. Then go back for the eggs and bacon and just get your Mallorca toasted on the side, or have a Cuban Sandwich..it was great!... More

We came here twice while staying in Old San Juan because of the great food and fast service. We had never previously tried a Mallorca, which is basically two pieces of toast with butter, filled with meats, cheeses, etc. and topped with powdered sugar. It was amazing!! If you've never tried them before, this is a quality place to stop... More

We visited here during our recent stay in Old San Juan. I tried mallorcas for the first time on our trip the year before and could not wait to try this place which many tout as "the best". The diner atmosphere is very charming and the service was excellent. I had the ham cheese and egg mallorca. My husband had... More
