An excellent breakfast place in old San Juan, or coffee and snacks if you're on the go!

I have been here a few times over the years and I can tell you it's always a great place to stop for a coffee and snack, but if you want to do a breakfast I've done that before also and again, never disappointed. There is something special about a place that can do the simpliest things right every... read more

I visited early in the morning for breakfast. From the moment I walked in the door I could tell that service was not a high priority, but I really wanted to try the food as a replacement for La Bombonera. My order was for a bacon and cheese Mallorca coffee and pear juice was filled quickly, while the food, coffee,... More

Reviews were so good, we had to try it. What a disappointment. No better then low quality dinner. If you want basic quick eggs, then it is ok. If you are looking for something special, this is not the place!

After a great night of partying , we woke up mid morning starving. This spot was just doors down from our hotel so we walked in. A window full of desserts and treats welcomes you in. We enjoyed some cafe con leche and sandwhiches. Very good price and staff was friendly. Would recommend.

So a Mallorca is a sweet pastry that they slice in half, fill with ham and cheese, grill and sprinkle with powdered sugar. I had eggs (just so-so). One daughter had pancakes which were also so-so. My other daughter ordered the Mallorca and Ahhh- that's the reason people come here--- delish!

A friend of mine who lived in PR until her teens had recommended that I stop for mallorcas at Cafeteria Mallorca in Old San Juan when I visited with my husband and children over spring break. We had eaten a light lunch before heading into the city, so by the time we got there, parked and browsed a few shops,... More

While this little restaurant doesn't look like much if you look in the window, the food is delicious! It's very popular with the locals, and I can see why. We went here for breakfast in Old San Juan, and I ordered 2 eggs over easy with bacon, toast and coffee. Turned out it was one of the best breakfasts I've... More

Best food in Old San Juan- where the locals eat. Loved the mallorcas at this diner style restaurant.
