this is a hole in the wall, with not the greatest bathroom conditions; in fact, the ceiling in the women's bathroom collapsed from the rain and they had buckets in there catching the rainwater. BUT!!! the food is the bomb!!! the locals are here and their mallorcas are the BEST! this is a must try for anyone visiting san juan... More

We ate breakfast here on a Sunday morning after getting off our cruise ship. There are not many places that are open in OSJ on a Sunday morning, but this one was. We unfortunately did not try the Famous Mallorca sandwich that they are known for, having learned about it on our Food tour after eating here. I will go... More

A must to breakfast in old san juan! Dont bother with your hotel free breakfast. Spend the six bucks and order the mallorca! We sat at the bar and loved listening to the trumpeter and watching the hustle of the staff. No complaints whatsoever and we are very judgey food people!

located in Old San Juan. Great cheap place for breakfast with old time atmosphere. Waiters wear white jackets. Both of us ate for about $10. Not fancy but was a great way to start our day. There is a counter or tables. Pastries on display. They take credit card.

This is by NO means a gourmet spot. At best the food is only average, the restaurant is dated, and marginally clean. Don't always believe the guide books.

The famous Mallorca sandwich was ok. I was expecting it to be the best, based on the reviews but it wasn't. I was not impressed with their coffee. It had a bitter taste and they charge for refills. Also to my dismay was the huge roach on it's back next to where I was sitting. As I know OSJ is... More

OK, so first off, this place is not a place you go to be wowed by the decor. It's charm is that it has been the same for years and its a local spot that locals do in fact frequent. It feels like a cross between an old school Diner, and an old school donut shop with all of the... More

Bakery understand sweet toot is your thing you has just arrived to the best of the best San Juan has to offer. You can eat a Mayorca with just sugar power on top or go bananas and fill them up as you wish. Always Puertorican coffee, O J or any other drink. This will charger you battery to go a... More

Went here on recommendation of a local for breakfast. I referenced this site and saw a number of positive reviews. We sat at the bar and quickly made friends with the locals. It went down hill from there. Our breakfast was horrible. Overly deep fried bacon, cheap microwaved canned sausages, and spam accompanied my sunny side eggs (I fret to... More

During our visit in San Juan, we stopped into Cafe Mallorca for an early breakfast and unfortunately left hungry. We did not order the signature Mallorca as it looked a little too heavy for a 7am meal but we were disappointed with all of the other menu items we had. The "sausage" was Vienna sausage (eww!), the bacon deep fried,... More
