Just be warned that their coffee is half coffee/half milk, which I love! Reminds of my childhood. But other people might find this a bit gross. We went back the following day because everything was outstanding, but I felt a little shivery knowing how much milk was in my coffee that morning. The next day, we just ordered black coffee.... It was a delicious breakfast. Unique & Uncommon grilled cheese sandwich sprinkled with icing sugar! I don't know if they always have live music, but on the day I went there, there was. And it was fantastic because I was visiting the old town for the first time & this made the experience unforgettable. It was like a sound track... More

Someone on our cruise suggested that we stop here during our one day post-cruise in San Juan, and I am so glad that we did. We immediately found a seat at the counter, although the restaurant was near capacity. The crowd was a good mix of locals and tourists. If you see a lot of locals, you know you are... More

We came in because I had seen a picture of the Mallorca sandwiches and thought they looked great, and I was right. My wife felt it was bit too sugary, but she just removed some of the extra powdered sugar. We both had the bacon, egg and cheese Mallorca. The major downside was that the place was really busy, but... More

Outstanding. We managed to eat here 4 times in 4 days - how's that for crazy about a place. This looks like nothing - plastic plates, rushed service, diner decor that could use a cleaning. But the food - oh the food. Dinner - we loved the Pork Chops - awesome. But the real killer meal for the Mallorca is... More

We did breakfast here, but it was more like brunch. The highlight is their pastry bread/bun topped with powdered sugar that they fill with various ingredients or nothing, to your order. Make sure you try this as our "Mallorca Especial" just came on regular bread and was a disappointment only because it wasn't on the pastry bun! We also ordered... More

The Mallorca which they're famous for is a like a breakfast/lunch sandwich which can be had with American or Swiss cheese and ham or other ways. The bread is like a thin toasted challah bread and spinkled with powder sugar gently encasing your ham and cheese or whatever your preferred selection is. They also offer a delicious piece of chocolate... More

Wandering old San Juan my wife and I planned on eating at Cafe Berlin (2 blocks away) but it hadn't opened yet so we came across 'Cafeteria'. Nothing spectacular to look at from outside (with exception of baked sweets in window) we noticed it was fairly full so we went in and sat at the counter. We were served by... More

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast and had to try the Mallorca sandwich. We had one with ham, egg, and cheese and the other was just bacon and cheese. Fresh OJ and my wife had the coffee with milk. Sadly no decaf for those of us who can't have caffeine.
