When I'm San Juan on a Sunday I typically had breakfast in Cafeteria Mallorca before going to mass in the close by cathedral, simple fare: scrambled eggs, regular coffee and some toasts, an a sweet pastry at the end, prices are good, lots off local and also tourists trying to find something with local flavor.

Good food, fast service, with a nice "diner" feel. Window display of sweets looked great, but we didn't sample any.

After several disappointing meals in San Juan, we were thrilled to find this place where we had a terrific arroz con pollo with beer followed by flan and excellent coffee.

Small, family-run bakery/diner serving authentic food at reasonable prices. A much better value than any of the other places we tried while visiting Old Town San Juan.

Tried this place on day one of our trip... This small diner is authentic and no frills. The staff is pragmatic Puerto Rico- don't expect to be wooed. I mean this in a completely good way, mind you. The ham & cheese Mallorca is sublime. We went every morning of our trip- no joke! You have to close your eyes... More

We arrived in Old San Juan ready for breakfast, we asked someone local walking by where she would suggest and she told us about Mallorca. It was a great experience! It was a small diner visited by tourist and locals alike. We sat at the counter and had fresh squeezed OJ, scrambled eggs, pancakes and a Mallorca which is bread... More

If you're looking to experience the typical Puerto Rican food during your visit to Old San Juan Cafe Mallorca is one of the best choices. The place is an old fashioned diner, constantly packed by locals during breakfast, lunch and dinner: there is no better recognition of quality than that. Breakfast choices are available all day long (including the wonderful... More

I read some reviews on this place and it was a little bit of a walk, not far, from our hotel. Wanted to check it out. Was very disappointed when we got seated, soon after they opened, that there was no coffee. ??? No explanation as to why. So we ordered omelets. It was interesting to see that it came... More

Old san Juan at its cafe best! Love the men on white shirts and bow ties!!! Old charm and elegance of a different and maybe better time! Food is really good!

The ham and cheese mallorcas were the best...lots of locals in here eating. Very authentic, a must try on San Francisco Street.
