This might just be the most amazing cafeteria style breakfast place ever. I call it cafeteria (well so do they), but that's only because of the limited menu, it's not like a self service cafeteria an American would think of. To start, the place is located in the heart of old San Juan, which I'm itself is gorgeous. There are... More

This was our first time in Puerto Rico and we had no idea where to eat breakfast on our first morning so when our taxi dropped us off here and we ate the food it was FANTASTIC!! The Mallorca's were the best and we will definitely be going back here this September!

The mallorcas seem like they can't possibly work -- savory breakfast items (eggs, cheese, ham or bacon) wrapped in a dough, deep fried, then smothered in powdered sugar? But somehow ... wow, these things are addictive. I had the bacon and cheese one, with a side of eggs (which were fine.) My dining partner got eggs and sausage - the... More

My husband and I had breakfast at the bar. We were served by a gentleman named Ramon. We were impressed with his "on point" service. The oatmeal was amazing!

This was hands down the worst dining experience we had in San Juan. We were looking for a place where the locals ate, and we experienced exactly that... Tourists we're not welcomed! The food was like any Diner breakfast in the states, but the service was beyond rude. It was very obvious the gentleman waiting on us did not like... More

Didn't actually eat here today, but the window pastry drew us in. Waited in line and got to the counter. The cashier did not speak much English, or pretended not to. I asked her for 2 cookies and 4 different pastry - her choice. She began to give me all the same pastry. Thankfully, a wonderful woman in line behind... More

This is a great place to grab breakfast in Old San Juan. The service was exceptional and the food out of this world. We each had a full breakfast of eggs and bacon with complimentary hot buttered bread, a pina colada, and we shared a mallorca with cheese and bacon. It was delicious! Our bill came to less than $15!

For a quick morning breakfast before our tour this was a good choice. Free orange juice cocktail was perfect and my waffles were the best.

The food is average. The best part of this spot is the bakery in the front were they have the best mallorca, guava/coconut cake. The place gets crowded but you can get in there quickly.

We had 2 meals at Café Mallorca during our time in Old San Juan. We went to lunch on Monday and breakfast on Tuesday. Lunch was fantastic! We each had mallorcas. Ham & cheese for myself and my daughter and cheese for my son. We weren't quite sure how ham & cheese on sweet bread with powdered sugar would taste... More
