Wife and I didn't want to blow another two Jacksons on a hotel breakfast, and we like to wander the streets anyway. San Juan is beautiful in the cool crisp of the morning. Old diner in San Juan, great for breakfast. Got to be one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had (would beat Starbuck's anyday). The food is average, but you can't beat the price or how fast they are! more

Good, strong cafe con leche, excellent service with waiters plucked from another generation and an old-time feel make this a standout in a leisurely, cheap breakfast option. The mallorca pastries were little more than sweet, dry buns, spread with a bit of butter, toasted on a flat top and showered with powdered sugar. But they were tasty. more

A jewel in Old San Juan, a breakfast and lunch delight. Come in for the rich coffee and pressed jamon y queso sandwich with a touch of powdered sugar.
