We were looking for a place to get good coffee in Puerto Rico. We had a few hours left before getting back on the cruise ship and found PRs Cafe Cola'o dangerously close to the cruise ships. It had good reviews on Yelp, but we worried that this could be one of those types of coffee shops that just pulls... More

We stopped in here after lunch, just when our energy was beginning to flag after our flight to San Juan. An iced latte was the perfect pick-me-up. The service was friendly and the coffee was excellent. Because even the iced coffee is ground and brewed when you order, it takes a bit longer than your typical coffee shop, but the... More

Came in for a little afternoon pick-me-up after a local recommended it to us. He said it was his favorite coffee in town and I can understand why. Cheap, quick, tasty and strong--everything you need in a café. Only downside would be the close proximity to the cruise ship dock, it can give the illusion that it is tourist trap.... More

We went here after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed! It was the first coffee shop of our trip and we were so in love with it! The prices are very reasonable and the taste of the coffee is amazing. The baristas were both very helpful and not hard on the eyes in the opinion of my roommate.... More

I stopped here on my last trip to Puerto Rico in November and it ruined all other coffee for me, nothing else is good enough now. I have been dreaming of this cafe since I left and cant wait to get back. They will not disappoint!!

Best coffee place in San Juan. Excellent service and very good prices. Don't buy a $7 coffee with more milk than anything if you are in Old San Juan and go try place.

Small coffee house that provides good Puerto Rican coffee and a few pastries. Service was good and expedient.

This place does make good coffee, but so do many, (as in a lot) of places all over OSJ (and PR, in general) The hype the place receives is, in my opinion, due to its location. Being right there where thousands of cruisers disembark to explore the Old City, gives Cafe Colao exposure that other locales do not enjoy. May... More

Ask for Pedro for the best, knowledgable service about the best coffee in Puerto Rico. Prices are cheaper than all of the other coffee places we visited and the quality is higher. I wouldn't go anywhere else in old San Juan.
