I just returned from a one week visit to San Juan We had dinner on 3 nights at this restaurant The coconut and regular mojitos were outstanding. The ceviche the best I ever had The red snapper is the entire fish stuffed with lobster mofongo and deep fried. All food is outstanding. Don't miss this restaurant.

Would highly recommend this restaurant. Restaurant had a laid-back atmosphere with beautiful blue lighting inside. Very friendly staff & had the best waiter, Billy. Homemade Watermelon sangria was delicious & refreshing- had a carafe ($30). Fried red snapper filet with lobster monfongo ($25) was delicate and not too heavy. Scallops with seafood risotto was creamy and had perfect texture ($30).... More

One of several started by excellent chef. The very best seafood on the island. One of 3 restaurants I went back to twice in my 2 week visit and worth it. Ceviche to die for. Cool atmosphere with lighting. Very nice staff.

Our daughter ate here 3 months ago and urged us to eat here when we visited this month. From the tostones-to the cafe con leche at the end- phenomenal. We had the ceviche from mahi and grouper. Maravillosa! I also had fried oysters w remoulade sauce. Then blackened tuna and salad. Casi mi olvido el flan!! Con rajaditas de piel... More

Food was overpriced and not at all memorable. Open kitchen looked dirty. Recommended by our concierge. Never again.

We chose Aguaviva because of the ceviche on the menu -- and we were extremely pleased! Excellent quality and variety, well prepared and presented. Excellent wine list, too. We were treated very well by the receptionist and the server, and enjoyed our meal a great deal. Aguaviva is ideally located on Calle Fortaleza quite close to Plaza Colon, and has... More

This place was recommended by some friends who live in San Juan as having some of the best food in the city. And they must have been correct as the food was really not only great but also very innovative. A local friend recommend I try this place for dinner (after having quite a heavy lunch) and I was mightily impressed by the freshness and quality of the ceviche. The staff were friendly and the cocktails were a little bit too good resulting in me drinking more than optimal. This is not a low cost dining option but I would... More

We had a group of 6 in search of some seafood down in Old San Juan. This restaurant was low on the list of reviews, but we decided to try it anyway because of its cozy atmosphere. We were seated right away and our server was friendly and ready to offer us drink and appetizer suggestions. Our waiter was extremely... More
