Small but great food

Very innovative, same people own Parrot Club and dragonfly. Definitely need reservations, located in old San Juan. Seafood is mainly the menu. Really no atmosphere , tables are small and close together

We arrived on a Monday night with no reservations. Sundays and Mondays are not usually the days when restaurants put their best efforts forward so I was ready for a very good but not necessarily outstanding meal. Also being from a coastal area, I can be finicky about seafood but we were told repeatedly by friends and guide books that... More

This place surpassed our expectations! We wanted the best seafood in Puerto Rico and we got it. We got there on Monday night and it was quiet, but we definitely lucked out. Before we sat down, the hostess rattled off all her favorite dishes, and then we met Billy, Billy might just the best server we have encountered. He was... More

Aguaviva is sensational! Great loction, vibe, service and food! I went just before new years with a great friend and we had the trio of ceviche which was amazing and a the seafood paella which came highly recommended. The cocktail menu was very well crafted and we enjoyed four different delicious martinis! I am ready to dine here again! Check... More

My BF and I were only in town for two nights and met up with my best friend from college for her birthday trip with her boyfriend. He chose to take us all to Aguaviva for her birthday dinner. First off - the food was amazing. We had the oysters, ceviche, lobster and snapper mofongo (get the snapper baked not... More

Our meal was out of this world! The lobster gnocchi was so decadent and the jumbo shrimp and Mahi Mahi were both excellent entrees. Our waiter Billy added to the pleasurable experience. He was full of energy, very knowledgable on the menu and was so attentive that he went out of his way to ensure we were taken care of.... More

I had dinner here and did not make prior reservations. There were open tables so I was able to be seated. I had the coconut shrimp appetizer and thought it was average. I had the sword fish and thought it was average too. For the price I recommend other places in the area. The restaurant is very warm so by... More

We had a group of 5 from a conference in PR. Billy was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable of the menu and specials, an overall fun guy. The service was prompt, our water glasses were never empty and the coasters for our drinks were changed often. I had oysters for my appetizer and baked snapper for the entree.... More

Got the reservation with Open Table. Had the Watermelon juice sangria- it was ok...but perhaps it was more of a refreshment than a drink. Great concept. Very attentive staff. Food was excellent! the place was full on a Monday night! Overall would return. I had the branzino and it was fantastic. Also the green salad was more than the average... More

We had a great meal here and the service was also great. Our waitor was attentive and very nice. We had a hard time deciding because so many of the menu options looked great. Everything on the menu was well thought out and unique. We both enjoyed our entrees. Portions aren't huge, but definitely enough. My only gripe is that... More
