We had to share because everything was very expensive! We shared fried red snapper mofongo which was good, but the fish was very salty.

The restaurant was small and had a difficult time accommodating a party of 6. The drinks were amazing, but the food was lack luster.

We went to Aguaviva for the ceviche, as we had been told it was fantastic. While the atmosphere was very cool (jellyfish shaped lighting and wavy blue bar lighting on the ceiling so it looks as if you are underwater) and the staff were very nice, the food was forgettable The manager came as I was taking photos of the... Best bartender/manager- she made me Azcena flower cocktail. Toasted the petals and infused simple syrup with them. She does special cocktail ceviche pairings - great happy hour

This place has a hip and fun vibe. Locals obviously like it despite being in heart of tourist area. I had the ceviche which was good. Tuna w/ truffle & spicy Mahi Mahi. If you like sriracha pepper sauce. The side plantain chips were excellent. Best though was crab cake. It wasn't a Maryland crab cake, but it was lightly... More

The restaurant is very conveniently located in the heart of Old San Juan. Walking distance from the cruise ship docks or the old San Juan hotels. Service is friendly and relaxed. The place is busy and clearly popular. Not the cheapest place but seafood is fresh, tastily prepared, servings are not huge. This is one place where one can eat... More

I was so looking forward to visiting this restaurant and was so disappointed in the experience. Unfortunately it was the last night of our vacation so we don't get to give them a second chance. Ordered one of their special cocktails only to be told they didn't have the ingredients to make it. One of our party didn't get the... More

Came with a group of guys in a bachelor party, we went to a different restaurant each night and this was BY FAR the best. Cool place with Jellyfish (aguaviva) lighting coming down from the ceiling. We we like an hour late for our reservation and they accommodates us anyways, a little angry at first but it didn't reflect poorly... More

My husband and I ate here on our last night visiting Old San Juan. It was not crowded and we were seated right away. The decor was casual modern with soft blue neon lighting and an underwater theme. The glass neon jellyfish lamps were unique and eye-catching. For an appetizer, we ordered the two ceviche tasting; one was mahi-mahi in... More

My husband and I go to Aguaviva at least once a month. We always start with the raw oysters and then a combination of the cooked ones. The cocktail shrimp is also delicious....cold, large, plump and juicy. We continue with the trio ceviche and the orzo paella. Every item on the menu is absolutely delicious and fresh. Every employee from... More
