Birthday dinner

We had a fabulous time. Our server, Emmanuel was exceptional- polite, knowledgeable and happy. We loved the rendition of "Happy birthday" that the waitstaff sung to my husband. I recommend the red snapper and mahi but you might want to ask them to make sure it isn't well done, other than that the... read more

My wife and I had our last dinner here and wished it would have been the first. Billy our waiter was on point from start to finish. The food was way beyond fantastic. If you want seafood this is the place to go.

My fiancé and I went here for dinner and it was amazing. We got the ceviche tasting, getting the octopus and grouper respectively. Exquisite! The main courses were just as good followed by great desserts. Stephanie was our waitress and did an amazing job. Wish I could give 6 stars!

I went to Aguaviva two nights in a row during a recent business trip to Puerto Rico. Neat looking Caribbean blue inside. Caroline the hostess was there both nights and was very personable and friendly. The first night I had some really delicious swordfish with sweet mash potatoes that was served by a very cordial waiter named Jairo. The following... More

Wonderful seafood restaurant in Old San Juan down by the cruise ship port. Small, fine dining with an eclectic menu. I had the tuna and hubby had the Mahi- Mahi. We started with the shrimp and lobster gnocchi which was delightful. Not the heavy dumpling variety. A wonderful evening of food and wine and highly recommended.

If you like fresh, appetizing, deliciously prepared food, Aguaviva in Old San Juan is for you. The nautical decor is original and refreshing, and the service is terrific.

We were wondering Old San Juan and found Aquaviva by chance when we saw the sign for fresh oysters. The restaurant is very modern and intimate. We were on a time crunch due to a tour but we had time for a short snack and drink by the bar. Our server/bartender Mikey was incredibly personable and friendly and offered us... More

What an awesome night we had! Started with complimentary shots, then followed by 3 fantastic courses. Party of 6 and ALL were thrilled with the meal and the service. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Puerto Rico. Very pretty restaurant too!

We were greeted and welcomed in by Carolina and served by Diana. We ordered the 6 taste sampler of ceviche which was perfect. My husband prefered the Ahí/tuna and I loved everything else. I think my favorite was the shrimp in coconut milk, but honestly every single sample was prepared and served exceptionally. We also added the truffle fries and... More

After a long day of touring San Juan, we passed by Aguaviva. Our hotel had recommended the restaurant earlier in the day, but it was Carolina, who greeted us as we reviewed the menu outside, that made our visit special. She described the food, pointed out some of her favorites, and warmly invited us to come in for dinner. The... More
