Fresh and Delicious Seafood

Sweet and trendy seafood spot in lovely Old San Juan. The food was very tasty and simple (salmon, mahi mahi, seafood risotto) and the atmosphere was fun and cozy with delicious mojitos. Our waitress was very nice and helpful, but the service was extremely slow. Very pricey, as well.

We were crushed to realize that without a reservation on a Friday night we weren't going to be able to get in. Then the host manager squeezed us in and we had our favorite meal of our trip to Old San Juan. I am a ceviche fan and they had 6 (?) to pick from, we chose an option where... More

We walked in just before the dinner hour and the hostess accommodated us without a reservation, which was definitely a great first impression. Service: The waiter had a great personality and asked if he could tell us about his favorite drink specials and after serving us, he offered the same for his favorite dinner items. His service was friendly and... More

This was my second visit to AGUAVIVA after a previous Christmas trip with my husband. This time my sister and I made a winter getaway to San Juan, and I suggested this restaurant for our last night in town. It was a perfect choice. We had been enjoying various food venues during our four days there, and AGUAVIVA was one... More

After having had some sub-par service experiences at other San Juan restaurants the attention to detail by the servers at Aguaviva was a delight. The reason I can say this is that we were a group of 18 people and given that we were a large party set at two tables I was concerned it was going to be a... More

We chose Aquaviva for its' menu, but we loved it for its' amazing service (Bianca the hostess and Billy the most extraordinary waiter). The drinks were incredible...special shoutout for the watermelon sangria! The ceviches were all amazing as were the mofongos served with the snapper and the dorado. The desserts did not disappoint and we were super super happy with... More

From start to finish, the service was engaging and entertaining! Our server Dianna amazed us with the way she handled our table as well as a table of 18. She asked if we had any food allergies and made confident recommendations. We enjoyed the Stone Crab Claws and the Gnocchi for appetizers and then the Swordfish (the star of the... More

We started the the evening after a great day of photography at the the forts in Old San Juan. The exciting day led to a healthy appetite. A 3 hr wait at our first choice for the evening resulted in dinner at Aguaviva. The atmosphere was cool and lively, the menu was succinct but offered diverse food choices. My wife... More

Delicious food, super fresh, and a "must experience" situation if visiting Puerto Rico. The customer service is excellent. A+++. Our server was Billy. He was excellent, great food recommendations, responsive, funny, and very helpful. The ceviche, jumbo shrimp dishes, and other seafood here is the best in Puerto Rico. Can't wait to come back! And the ambiance is awesome.
