We went for the prix fixe menu, which was a great choice for $23. Drinks were strong and cheap as well. Nice alley seating let us enjoy the weather, and the place was quiet enough to enjoy couples time. Our server (Rolando, I believe) was very attentive and helpful.

We had confirmed reservations on New Year's Eve for El Asador. We had seen the restaurant open during the day with customers having lunch. When we arrived for dinner, the place was closed! What? So here we are on Dec.31st looking for somewhere else to ring in the New Year! The next day, I went into the empty restaurant around... More

My husband and I are in San Juan over New Years with some friends. We had made reservations for New Year's Eve in advance. We even got an email confirming our reservations and telling us to make sure and let them know ASAP if our plans change. We showed up a little early for our reservations and the restaurant was... Being that Xmas is very festive in the Old City, while hearing Tuna Music at the nearby Barandilla Plaza, we decided to eat here. It's clean, cozy, rustic, airy, comfortable. We sat at a small corner table for two, with a view to the sidewalk, where we spotted other clients sipping Mojitos and ordering. Karen was our server, friendly, dynamic.... More

We waited 15 minutes at the door for someone to assign us a table. Finally, a waiter came and told us to pick a table and wait for him over there. We sat down and waited another 15 minutes and the waiter still didn't come! After such a long wait, we left the restaurant. Can't comment on the food, but... More

On a beautiful Saturday night, we went looking to eat. La Madre was recommended, but packed, so we went across the street to El Asador and ordered their fixed price menu and some Sant Gria (excuse the spelling). We sat by the window spying on the passers-by, the service was attentive and the food was prompt. The food was tasty,... More

We came here after the bar tender juan Carlos insisted on mojitos. Very tasty and he was super nice. Very cute decor but hardly anyone there. Did not try food. Overall had a good time thanks to the bar tender.
