The best mushroom risotto I ever had. My partner had shrimp and it was wonderful too. It's a very romantic/rustic setting (after dark) and the service was excellent. Large portions so we had "lunch leftovers". Every bit as good the next day! We have been to P.R. four times now and just "discovered" this place but it's definitely going to... More

The service was good, the food was fabulous and the drinks were reasonably priced and delicious. The atmosphere was beyond compare and Sinatra-esque. We will go back again before we leave Puerto Rico.

We stopped by El Asador on our last day in San Juan and my only regret is, that we didn't go there before. We had mojitos, ceviche, fish tacos and a sampling of their mushroom risotto. Love the atmosphere at the restaurant. It is beautiful, the food is amazing, the mojitos were great, and the staff is fabulous. Definitely a... More

We ate there in two different occasions. Both times the food was amazing. We ordered off the menu the first time and the second time we got the lunch special. Their risotto is creamy and very tasty, although I think they used orzo instead of rice, but the flavor was outstanding. The best part was the limeade, freshly made there.... More

I am actually sitting at El Asador right now, on my honeymoon, finishing another Mojito, and instead of talking with my husband, I'm writing a trip advisor review. Hands down, this is the best drink I've ever had. And the service is lovely. An added perk to anyone staying at "Da House" across the alley. Fantastic.

Just stopped in because it looked interesting, they were advertising Mojito's & red snapper was the catch of the day. When I bellied up to the bar, I was blown away almost immediately by the great service. The bartender made a great Mojito & although there wasn't time for dinner, I was brought a nice sample of a rice &... More

We discovered this wonderful restaurant by accident, although it is located in the heart of Old San Juan. The restaurant has kind of a trendy hip feel. The food is incredible. The delicious Pumpkin soup is a meal by itself. The shrimp was excellent. The chef of the establishment is obviously trained in the culinary arts. Don't miss this fine restaurant.... More

My husband and I visited Puerto Rico for his birthday. While out visiting Old San Juan we decided to get a bite to eat. We came upon this restaurant and decided to try it.. We were not disappointed. Rolando, the bartender/waiter made the best homemade lemonade we tasted while there. He also was very helpful in getting us to try... More
