Enjoyed happy hour on the outdoor deck. Good prices, attentive service. The restroom is upstairs, and the ladies room features a hot curling iron machine.

Excellent location in old San Juan. Very friendly staff. Our waiter, Pepe, really known as Jose, was excellent and very accomodating. Good food, great sangria.

Under the shade of a tree we enjoyed a Pina Colada and waited for the very large Paella. It was delicious with well cooked rice and fresh fish and chicken. A delight.

Decked in here for dinner our first night in San Juan and wanted to try somewhere new. Their Happy Hour prices were great....$5.....pass on the rum punch and go with the white sangria. There was not much variety on the menu.....and for some of the menu items, they were much pricier than other restaurants in the area. I went with... More

Was walking in Old San Juan and we came across this place. The menu looked good, so we decided to try it. I ordered the seafood and chicken paella and it was excellent. There was a generous portion of meat and seafood and very flavourful. The service was very good and the staff spoke good English (which was a relief... More

Per the title, very tasty. I ordered the dorado tacos, but asked that the dorado be grilled/broiled rather than fried. Perfectly cooked, but a little sloppy. I'd get it again. Amusing side note. In the women's bathroom there's a curling iron machine if your curls go flat. I didn't use it, but it's definitely not a staple in DC,

This is a great place for tapas and drinks. It's close to the harbor in old San Juan. You can sit outside and just enjoy people watching, boats coming & going. Tha staff is very friendly. Great time!

Had lunch for two here and simple grouper tacos, chicken and chorizo empadillas with a small pitcher of sangria was nearly $70.00! This is a bar with bar nibbles at high prices and not for fine dining. Romantic Not - cozy yes. Very well located with deceiving exterior looks.

This was my first time in Puerto Rico, as soon as I flew in, I went to Old San Juan for dinner. I was lucky that the taxi driver told me about Toro Salao. The place is in the heart of Old San Juan near everything you want to see. I bellied up to the bar and enjoyed a cold... More

Food was good and plentiful, service was 1st class - in a Caribbean way! Joel our waiter was a pleasure to talk to and his attention to us was excellent. Having been on a cruise ship since 8th Nov (today's the 11th) my partner was dying for a draft beer. Toro Salao delivered on drinks food and service. Well done... More
