Food was amazing. Great happy hour and very friendly service. We sat in the bar area and enjoyed the entire experience.

If you want some perfectly made Cuban food, this is the place to go! We had not had authentic Cuban food in years and this place hit the spot. The wait staff is pretty good and it will not cost you an arm and a leg to eat here. Those who go here MUST have a plate called the "Cuban... More

Ate here twice during a two-week trip. Both times, the food my husband and I had was very good. We both had something different each time; I had chicken dishes that were both very good (the night it was one of the specials, it was outstanding) and my husband had a seafood platter that he loved. Service was very attentive,... More

This is was our second visit and the food was very good. They love their garlic here. You can smell the wonderful garlic bread as you enter the restaurant. the beans and rice are great and go with the wonderful meat dishes. Large portions, very fresh ingredients.

The restaraunt itself is not located in the best of places and the service isn't very quick. However, you can get a REAL tasting Coca- Cola (that you can't get everywhere in San Juan) and the pork chops were great. I am from the Southern part of the United States, so in my opinion good food was very hard to... More

We were a large party (15) and all of us (teens, adults) LOVED this restaurant! Great food, great service! We ended up going there twice during our stay. Members of our party are Cuban and they could attest to the fact that this restaurant served classic Cuban dishes. Can't say enough about this place.

The Metropole was recommended by Lonely Planet as an affordable local restaurant. The food is Cuban, not Puerto Rican. It's very casual, with Formica top tables, white paper placemats and bright lights. We started with black bean soup, served traditionally with white rice and onion. It lacked complexity but was basic and ok. My red snapper was cooked perfectly but... More
