The place was empty when we walked in and were asked if we had a reservation which we did not. We stared at the hostess for a bit before asking if the bar was open for seating. She said yes, of course. We sat ourselves and had wonderful service from the female bartender. (forgot name-loves traveling to Paris) During our... More

My husband and I had dinner at 311 our second night in Old San Juan. The ambience is wonderful. The service outstanding, a shout out to Victor. We are both in the food business and agree one of the best meals we have ever had! Try the Foie Gras and the sea bass- superb!

This may be the best restaurant in all of old San Juan. We had a scallops appetizer and sea bass entree and the food literally melts in your mouth. The service is impeccable and the ambience is lovely. There is a local rum called "barrilito" that is a fabulous after dinner drink. The Spanish Verdero whit wine topped off a... More

My wife and decided to dine here because we hadn't been to a French restaurant in awhile. We both ordered the French onion soup for an appetizer. It was a little light on the onions but had a heavy beefy broth that was very tasty. For my entrée I ordered the Caribbean lobster tail with champagne beurre blanc and my... More

This was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. We were warmly welcomed at the door. Our waiter, Eric, is a true professional and gave us guidance on our order. The food was amazing-we had the scallops and (on Eric's advice) the ravioli to start. The scallops were perfectly cooked-beautifully crusted on the outside and... More

I felt like I was in Paris at Trois Cent Onze!!! Everything about this evening was excellent: the place, the food, the service. Everything we ate was divine: the potato mushroom gratin for entree, the lobster in Champagne beurre blanc for main, the lima beans, the pumpkin, the apple tart, the chocolate mousse, the passion fruit souffle (yes, we had... Who goes to San Juan for french food? Well, I did, since you can't eat mofongo every night. The food here is quite good, and the service was gracious. The menu is what you would expect, with all of the french classics. An added bonus is that the place is pretty easy to get into, and also uses Open Table.... More
