You haven't lived until you've tried a woody's ultimate burger. Just ask for the burger with plantain, every burger is made to order but trust me it's worth the wait!

We were recommended this place at our homestay. We reached Woody's right around they had shut down for the day . I think it was papa woody who was there at that time. He said he would still serve us food and asked to order what we wanted. There were burgers , sandwiches , fries we ordered. The food was... More

On Saturday June 21st a group of 16 close friends took a trip to Portland. We stopped in at this little burger joint. The cook said there was too many of us, and to come back tomorrow. She said it would be worth it. Man, was it ever. We were greeted by Mama, and Papa Woody, who were absolutely amazing.... More

The owner has some recipes that should be patented! He mixes in plantains into some of his burgers which results in unique, delicious, juicy burgers. On the advice of a customer in the restaurant, who couldn't stop gushing about the vegetable burger, I tried the vege burger (and I am not into vegetables) and was blown away by the taste.... More

We spent two nights in Drapers outside Port Antonio and was looking for something to eat for our first night. Woody's was one of the few options around, so we figures we'd give it a go. At least the locals spoke warmly about it. I wasn't expecting much, but I must admit I was very surprised to find such good... More

Woodys I had to stop here as it's an institution in the Port Antonio area. Gotta admit that I don't know what the fuss is all about. It's a standard Jamaican eatery/cafe. The whole atmosphere and vibe is what makes it different. There is great wisdom on the walls. Take heed of those sayings... I had a soda, burger and... More

We had a late lunch here at Woody's today and were really looking forward to it after reading the reviews and looking through some of these photos. I have to say we were a little disappointed. We both ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Though it was cooked fine, I can't say there was anything special about it. The burger patty... More

Definitely a must-go if you are in the Port Antonio area. Like lots of things in Jamaica nothing is rushed and the foods is clearly cooked fresh. There is a great choice of burgers including veggie options, great coleslaw salad and amazing homemade ginger beer.

A very nice person recommended it to me once and I decided to pass by. Now it is a must for me to eat there anytime I go to Portland. By the way... I love Portland. The homemade burgers are unique, juicy and delicious.. During the day it's a very hot place but that's Jamaica "so mi like it". Mr.... More
