Just ok

Food ok. A lot of items on the menu unavailable. Service very willing but inexperienced. No bottles of wine for sale, only one glass of white wine - not much good for a couple No desserts available, not even ice cream. Would not return.

I feel bad writing such a terrible review because the service was good and waitstaff very friendly - but the food was awful. Overpriced tourist garbage. If you've had real Jamaican food, this place is a joke. Coconut shrimp was slimy, soup tasted like it came out of a can, and steamed veggies were essentially hot lettuce. PLEASE stick to... More

So we waited about an hour and a half for our food. I slowly became HANGRY. Most restaurants would offer a discount, but seems like they were more interested in tips. The food however was amazing. We had the fry fish. Rice and peas was perfect. So it did make up for the time spent. And to be fair. Portland... More

This place is one of the few place to offer a decent service in terms of trained staff. Jamaican restaurants tend to be very poor on the service front. This place has a good international standard with a chill vibe. Do not get me wrong everything isn't perfect.... overall the food is good and the location is nice so thumbs... More

I've been many times to Ana Banana. We chose to go on a Friday evening expecting live music but there was none that evening and service was very slow though the food was quite good when it finally arrived

The food was as best was overpriced and badddd. The waiter tried but you could tell he lock training, most of what's on the menu was not available, we asked to speak to the supervisor but unfortunately for us we got the owner who was beyond rude, one of the waiters had to apologise for the owner/manager behavior when we... We went here and ordered our food off the menu to find they had no chicken, shrimp, pork, lobster so basically all we could order was fish which was not to everyone's taste but they took our order first where we all ordered shrimp then they came back 30 mins later to basically tell us that all we could order... We came here on Valentine's Day for their music show. The house band (the Unity Band) was pretty good, and a young lady with a great voice sang some old romantic favorites. When the supposedly "bigger" acts starting working the stage, the quality seemed to slip a bit - not as hungry? Inflated self-image? Regardless, we had a good time.

The food is average and over priced, the vegetarian food is nothing special. My friends ate a fish dish, they said it was good, and the jerk, which was a little bit bland. And it is really pricey compared to the smaller restaurants. (next door is a restaurant (well, more like a shack with food and a couple of chairs)... More
