Read reviews and decided to try---big mistake. Overpriced, long wait. Jamaican food-I've had far better; basic eggs and toast for my American friends and it was undercooked and terrible. Go to Gary's next door to Hidden Place/One mile...cheap and authentic Jamaican food serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Little restaurant on the strip, was very good and served traditional Jamaican dishes. Coming from Mandeville it seemed expensive but I think it was right on for the area.

The food here wad great. The atmosphere had an at home feel to it. The service was decent. The area outside of the restaurant was a little busy. But all in all it was a decent place. The price of the food was very reasonable.

I had heard so much about this place and have actually written a review on my first visit. This time a friend wanted to do take out, so we did take out. UHHHH ok 45 minutes to get a take out order? Steamed fish but it was GOOD and my friend enjoyed himself tremendously! I had the chicken and well... More

...if you are looking for grilled lobster. Besides having to wait for almost an hour for our food, we did not even get the grilled lobster we had ordered. While waiting we watched them process a lot of take out orders which got all taken care of before ours. When they were finished with those, the waitress came and told... More

Sweet Spot is a quaint little shack of a restaurant with totally authentic Jamaican food ( a lot of hot curry dishes, rice and beans etc.) Limited menu, look for amazing fresh juice specials. Marsha make the place work.

The sweet spot is THE spot to go to for authentic Jamaican beef patties. It's where the locals go and it's easy to see why. Don't expect fine dining, but show up with an appetite and be prepared to spend only a few bucks for a delicious Jamaican meal!

We were told by many to check this place out for dinner. We weren't disappointed. We had ox tail and brown stew. Wonderful. Try the ox tail! Fair prices and plenty of food.

I wasn't really sure what to make of Sweet Spot. There were some real Jamaican specialty dishes that I wasn't brave enough to try, like oxtail and cowfoot. We ordered Garlic shrimp with rice and peas and a side of cole slaw. It was DELISH!!! The service was great, everyone was super friendly. I would definitely put it on your... More

purchased lunch special - food was good and spicy. I bought two meals - fricase chicken and curry goat - there was no rice and peas, but they offered pumpkin rice which was orange. The only thing I didnt like was the price - US$16 - which, I felt was the same price I would have paid in NY
