Super food -- A very small stand on the road, that has just great vegetarian food. It was recommended by several people who said go there for 'real' Jamaican food. We were not disappointed...

This review is long overdue, as we frequented Ras Rody multiple times during our 2011 and 2012 trips to Jamaica. We actually returned to Tensing Pen in part because we didn't want to miss out on this delicious, inspired, fresh vegan food. We came back for breakfast and lunch multiple times, preferring Ras Rody's cuisine to Tensing Pen's by far!... More

This place was great and super quick for lunch. The all vegetarian menu was excellent, and unique. Visitors shouldn't be intimidated by the appearance of the place (its a roadside stand with limited seating). The food was great and the cooks were always friendly.

If you visit Negril and don't stop by here for lunch or dinner, you're missing out! everything on the menu was great, from the pumpkin soup to the festival and fresh ginger juice! The value is great as well, I paid twice as much for meals in the area that weren't half as good as Ras Rody's. Sit down and... More

It is so small you might miss it - but right across the street from Tensing Pen on the main road sits Ras Rody's. The people who run it are friendly and knowledgeable about their food. The food is delicious and changes daily. It is very very affordable. We ended up popping in every time we just wanted a little... More

This place is a must! Neither of us are vegan, we aren't even vegetarians, but we eat plenty of vegetarian and vegan and this by far was the best we've had inclusive of many non-v meals. Don't be fooled by the kitchen and roadside setup (something we didn't mind at all and rather enjoyed!), what you are getting can easily... More

Came here for dinner one night and enjoyed every bit of it! I am sad that I didn't have the chance to make it back a second time. A MUST VISIT! Very casual and affordable.

Ras Rody and his son Shadrach have developed quite the amazing little food shack. My girlfriend and enjoyed food and philosophy over lunch this past week. We ate a delicious pumpkin stew, with cabbage, rice & beans, callaloo, TVP chunks, and a side soup. Ras Rody's was the first food experience we had in Jamaica, and it was a great... More

We took our food back to our room but would have been satisfied to eat on the bench if necessary -its a step up from food trucks that provide no seating. What you get is quality vegetarian food, kind service and a good price. I read in a negative review that they charge a lower amount to locals. If its... More

We stayed in Jamaica for 3 weeks. Unfortunately we made it to Ras Rody's only one time - it was towards the end of our vacation (it was around January 10th). If we had known before how good it was, we would certainly come more often. We were served by Rody's son. He was incredibly kind and helpful. He explained... More
