Patti and Kirby have done a wonderful job on this place, the food is awesome, western food with a Jamaican twist. The location is second to none, right on the Ocean with its own private beach. Great place to also have coffee in the evening, very relaxing atmosphere with great staff. Absolutely love it!

I have not eaten at Canoe in quite a few years, but I had a guest who was interested in eating there to see the steel band that plays on Thursdays. She had shrimp in a papaya boat and I had escovitch snapper fillet. She said her meal was excellent. I especially like the veggies and potato wedges that accompanied... More

My spouse and I dined here several times as it was within walking distance of our hotel. Went twice for breakfast and were highly impressed. (We recommend the Westland mtn. Breakfast) After eating here, we usually were not hungry for lunch. We also had lunch once. Get the fish! The setting right on the beach and cannot be beat. Wish... More

If you imagine a canoe on it's side, that perfectly captures the design of the building; one roof, one wall towards the road, one floor. You get to dine whilst looking over the beach and sea a mere 20' away. The fish sandwich and hamburger were fine...but everything tastes better on the beach, right? I'd go back...the food odds are... Very good place to eat (we went there for breakfast once, and then we always returned when we had the possibility!). The sea isn't that special, but the beach is nice and clean, it's a good view and so close, beautiful to feel that during the meal! Try it also for lunch or dinner at least once. The desserts are... We went to Canoe for "Steel-Drum Monday" and we had a really nice meal and heard some good music. The band played two long sets and got better as they warmed up. The food was quite good - we had two appetizers: onion rings and jerk shrimp. The onion rings were just ok - very heavily battered, but the jerk... More

My husband, daughter and I stopped here for lunch upon our arrival to Negril. The staff were lovely, beer ice cold, jerk prawns and chicken were great too. Although if you don't like bones in your chicken ask for skewers. Sat and watched the world go by on the water for a couple of hours, just what we needed.

My husband has been craving the Chili Coconut Shrimp for quite some time now. We thought we might do some snorkeling and enjoy happy our, but the water was too rough. Instead, we for sure enjoyed some 2 for 1 dirty bananas. We enjoyed our view and just watching the sea. The Chili Coconut shrimp with pumpkin rice and coleslaw... More
