Fabulous fresh fish

Stopped in for a late lunch during a huge rainstorm. It must be a really pretty place when the sunshines! Had conch soup to start then escovich fish and fried bammy. Delicious food and only came to $2,700 including 2 beers. Very attentive service, the waiter did all he could to look after us and... read more

We have been eating here for the past 8 years. We were some the the first customers, when the place first opened. The prices have gone up over time, but they use to be at least, reasonable. We got there our first night, JUNE 1, 2015 and ordered brown stew fish and steamed veggies. Only my husband got rice and... More

This is a great place to visit for a local experience. You'll meet a lot of local entrepreneurs, each selling their unique trade. We enjoyed talking with Copper and Cook Food while waiting for our snapper. The food was delicious, these places dont' have menus so be prepared to ask for what you want and bargain the price first. And... More

We were attracted by great reviews. We were slightly dismayed at the area- dark and slightly dodgy appearing (sort of place where you might find someone up to know good). We went up to the restaurant with a gaggle of pimps yelling and bargaining. The music was so loud that our group of friends decided against it as we couldnt... More

While at the beach, heard about this and went over. Not the normal tourist place, the frrod was fantastic, but the atmostphere was a bit sketchy. Saw some dope deals, but the food was worth the time that I spent there. I would get it to go. I will go again and get another good meal.

Walking to this place was a little hairy. We were three women walking into this fishermans village, and somehow had picked up a "guy" who brings people to this restaurant who followed us and sat down with us and would not leave until we asked the staff to have him go away. There is no way to get here by... More

Ate fish here twice, escovitch and coconut, both times good but a bit pricy (1500/2000 JMD) food for local standard. The service was good, only the toilet didn’t work.

My family and I dined at Whalers Reataurant and it was a most memorable experience as the sun sets in the skies and the waves of the sea hits the shore line mixed with the sounds of the locals and the smell of seasoned fish cooking I sipped on my red stripe and smiled at my wife as the food... Enjoyed an authentic, fresh Jamaican meal with a beautiful atmosphere. Settle in with a Red Stripe and soup and enjoy the view and activities around you. Next to a working fisherman's beach and the touristy Margaritaville, you have you own cool spot with a local feel. Food was tasty and fresh! I recommend the Brown Stew Fish... Perfect flavor and...
