Description: Indian cuisine is tastefully unique and incredibly varied. Evolving over...
Indian cuisine is tastefully unique and incredibly varied. Evolving over many centuries,it reflects staggering diversity of a country whose food encompasses the cooking techniques of many nationalities and cultures. A vast spectrum of flavours is created by the judicious and inventive use of spices resulting in a world renouned and truly delicious cuisine. Perhaps the most elaborate dishes come from the north, which was inherited from the Mughals, who invaded India from Persia in the 16th century. Many Moghali dishes such as pulaos (pilifs) and biryanis (rice, meat and spices creations) are rich and lavish due to the ingredients used. Other Indian specialties include kebabs and tandoori dishes, which are cooked in a special clay pot, called a tandoor. What links a country whose cuisine is varied and diverse from region to region due to its language, culture and climate is a common denominator of Indian hospitality and graciousness. Here at Passage to India, as your host, we are committed to providing you, our guests, with just that and making your dining experience with us a truly memorable and enjoyable one.

Amazing food!

We didn't have too many options as vegetarians in Negril. So by the time we got to Ocho Rios, we were ready to eat a big meal. My mother found Passage to India, and The Blue House's staff called them to make a reservation. The owner, Raghu, offered to come and pick us up! Hospitality aside, the... read more

After reviewing their menu online, we hired a driver and traveled to Ocho Rios, to their location. Upon arrival, February 11, 2015, we were dismayed to find them closed. There was no indication on their website or from any of the locals that this was the case. So it came as an unpleasant surprise to arrive and find it closed.... More

Great food. Very yummy. Authentic India. Very courteous service, but be prepared to pay NYC prices. They accept Credit cards.

The food here is good i cannot complain about that, staff was good but for the price we could have eaten good other local meals 6 times! If you know this going in though it is worth it.

Having eaten here many times over years, when they shut down we were very upset as to lose one of our favorite vacation meals. This trip they had re-opened under new Owners and it was top notch! Not that there was anything missing before but this visit was the best! Nan bread awesome! Spicy shrimp fantastic! Mushroom sizzler best ever!... More

After 3 days of eating at the all inclusive hotel, we were ready to try something different. This restaurant was a short walk from the hotel. We ate at the AC part of the restaurant. The food was very good. Service was also excellent. The place was very clean. I really enjoyed eating here.
