Description: Indian cuisine is tastefully unique and incredibly varied. Evolving over...
Indian cuisine is tastefully unique and incredibly varied. Evolving over many centuries,it reflects staggering diversity of a country whose food encompasses the cooking techniques of many nationalities and cultures. A vast spectrum of flavours is created by the judicious and inventive use of spices resulting in a world renouned and truly delicious cuisine.

Perhaps the most elaborate dishes come from the north, which was inherited from the Mughals, who invaded India from Persia in the 16th century. Many Moghali dishes such as pulaos (pilifs) and biryanis (rice, meat and spices creations) are rich and lavish due to the ingredients used. Other Indian specialties include kebabs and tandoori dishes, which are cooked in a special clay pot, called a tandoor.

What links a country whose cuisine is varied and diverse from region to region due to its language, culture and climate is a common denominator of Indian hospitality and graciousness. Here at Passage to India, as your host, we are committed to providing you, our guests, with just that and making your dining experience with us a truly memorable and enjoyable one.

Very good Indian food

This is where the local jewelers entertain their guests, when going out for Indian food. Everything is good, service is excellent. It is located in town on top of a building with steps. We have been many times, have never been disappointed. We usually are with a large group and order many dishes... read more

Very authentic Indian with good quality ingredients. Fair price for Jamaica, planning to return. This location is a bit difficult to find but worth the effort. Free safe parking if you need it. Food on the island is less than adequate and restaurants with good reviews in Jamaica were quite disappointing.

This was the best Indian food I've had. The owners came out to speak with us and were so gracious. They had really lovely authentic dishes spiced perfectly. The tea masala was like drinkable crack. We went a few times during our trip because the menu was so extensive, and we kept wanting to try new things. The portions were... More

Pricey but no service. Great food. Nice location on the pier. I dined inside for lunch but I would recommend inside for dinner.

No reservation required. Fair to find. My wife loves their mutton. There are three flights of stairs so it would be difficult for persons with any injury to climb stairs. With this aside its on the third floor roof top of the building. Great service and we had mutton and chicken masala with nan. Also they had some lovely veggie... More

This restaurant exceeded our expectations for indian food. We needed a break from jerk food. It has all the usual traditional indian dishes

As far as the meal is concerned everything is all around delicious with healthy portions, especially the lunch specials that are approximately US $6 and includes nan and rice. The ambience is lacking a little bit, could use a little background music as its completely silent.
