I think this is closed, maybe this site should have a 'status'. What more can I say if the place is closed.

My husband and I had our destination wedding at this Garden Fall. Thanks to Trudi McDonald and her team for assisting me with planning and organizing and also recommending Nikki Parsons, wedding planner for Dream Weddings Jamaica, who made my day enchanting and beautiful with Caribbean/Ocean Blue decorations. Guests lodged at Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort.

Our tour guide, Rusty, stopped by here when we asked to see some gardens. The place is closed, but a caretaker took us through the gardens and gave us a history of the former plantation and the many plants and their uses.

The Ruins Restaurant has been closed since last year. Too bad as during the day a lot of tour buses would stop there and the tourist would enjoy looking at the falls and the beautiful big Koi fish swimming in the ponds around the dining area. A Jamaican lunch buffet was set up daily. In the evening the dinner Menu... More

Atmosphere is amazing as the waterfall cascades down into the outdoor dining area. You find yourself in a lush garden surrounded by a rainforest filled with tropical plants. This is a must have experience. The food and the staff are always excellent. You'll also most likely be entertained by local musicians as you dine. The buffet is excellent and well... More

We only had our wedding ceremony here but it really was beautiful and the staff were great, very helpful. Thanks especially to Trudy-Ann.

The first time I was at The Ruins at the Falls was 30 years ago and so I was delighted to see it was still there on my visit to Ocho Rios in March 2013. It is a fabulous place to take memorable scenic pictures on the bridge with the Falls in the background . If you are going to... More

If this place lived up to the beautiful surroundings the food should have been fantastic. Unfortunately, it is anything but! When looking at the menu prices then saw what was delivered from the kitchen it really made you realize that you were paying a lot and getting very little in return. A buffet was also offered that supposedly had Jamaican... More

last June (2012) on my trip to Jamaica with my niece, we took the Bob Marley and Dunns River tour. Lunch was at the Ruins - heaven! The buffet was a delicious array of Jamaican and Chinese dishes. We stayed a bit late at the Marley mausoleum and childhood home - so we were a bit late for lunch -... More
