Great Surprise in the Mountains

Just ate here for brunch this afternoon with a friend. We had some crabcakes and lobster. It was delicious. Be sure to call ahead for a reservation and wear mosquito spray.

Stopped at Eits on Sunday afternoon while taking a drive out of Kingston. As you're driven along the road to Newcastle, you can't miss the daily menu written in chalk against an antique car. Parking in along the road. It's a quaint little place, perched on the side of the mountain overlooking the beautiful valleys below. Every table has a... More

The view and the setting are amazing. That alone may have made the trip worthwhile. Service was good but food took a bit long to come. However the food was well prepared and the presentation was good. I will definitely be back.

This spot is located up in the Blue Mountains with lots of fresh air and beautiful views. I love the setting, and the food was out of this world! We had a wonderful salad and some sort of a "casserole" dish with lots of veggies...both were out of this world! The food is well worth the price, you can really... More

Saw this place while driving to Hollywell and and fell in love, had to book a trip back. Great ambience, great food, great service. Perfect place for a dinner for two especially if you are nature lovers. The beautiful scenery and rustic decor was enough to keep my satisfied. The food being good was like the icing on the cake.... April 27th, 2015 after a wonderfully torturous traverse of the Buff Bay Valley, we crested Hardware Gap and meandered downhill to 17 mile post and EITS. What a welcome, what an OASIS!! Eccentric, eclectic, breezy, cool and utterly out of this world. We spent a dreamy hour, eating an amazing breakfast with artesan coffee, and icy Red Stripe Beer. This is one... More

This place is different - its up on the slopes of the Blue Mountains, 17 miles out of Kingston; away from all the hussle and bussle of the city. It's cool, has a relaxing atmosphere and you can sit, chill and enjoy some breathtaking views, and some funky decor and furnishings. I especially liked the photos on display in the... More
