The Devon House Bakery has a good choice of cakes and pastries that you can eat right outside if you are lucky to find a free seat (there are not many). The small shop is one of a dozen inside the premises of Devon House, in a quiet courtyard where you are surrounded by trees and flowers, feeling far from... More

As usual, no trip to Kingston is complete without a trip to Devon House for the ice cream, We stayed to sample the patties but were disappointed. The pastry was greasy and the insides much too 'foody' I had a shrimp and my daughter had a beef. Sticking to Tastees.

We were recommended to stop off here on route to the north coast. It's a charmingly restored colonial property easy to find in North Kingston at the bottom of the road that takes you through the mountains. The shops were closed when we visited but the bakery was open. We had the patties which were fine if you like that... More

This bakery delivers with its variety of baked products for that happy feeling you get when having something sweet that brings back those childhood memories. Give it a try.

The national snack of Jamaica is a stuffed pastry called a patty. You have to try one, or more. The bakery at Devon House makes a nice light patty, great with a cold tropical drink. Better ye, the outside garden and patio is a great place just to sit and soak in the atmosphere.

If you are a pastry lover this is the place for you. May I recommend the Coconut Macaroon and the Plantain Tart. Also do indulge in the cheese cake and Toto. What can I say I always get a variety of stuff to face the traffic on my way home, it helps. Don't forget the Patty!

I recently visited the Devon House Bakery. The staff were very helpful and passionate about the local patties made here. I tried the pork pattie which was spicy and amazing. Highly recommend visiting

The bread pudding and lobster patties at this location are so good they are staples. Everything else is a bonus. The service is excellent and the terrace is a lovely area to have an afternoon meal.
