Lovely surroundings

This is the former home of a wealthy Jamaican that has now been transformed into a place for people to come to relax and eat. It has very good ice-cream. I enjoyed being able to sit under a tree while enjoying the ice-cream and viewing the stately home.

Jamaica is world renowned to have great street food that has been franchised around the world. The Patty is an average street food and is considered as a complete meal too. However, due to ease of eating and popularity the mass produced item is a far cry from what it was traditionally. Luckily The Devon House Bakery has decided to... More

So the bakery is right beside one of the top 100 places in the world to eat ice cream so you know it is going to be good. If you come to Jamaica you have to try the Devon House ice cream (Devon Stout is my personal favourite :-)) but you should also try it's pastries and the Devon House... More

Devon house bakery is a treat. In my humble opinion, they have the best patties in Jamaica. Not to dis juicy patties or tasty patties, but Devon house patties are in an entirely different category. They don't look the same, they don't taste the same and in fact they are not the same. They are not the mainstream kind of... More

Lobster patties beat anything you could want for a quick bite under $JA500. Oh, and ice cream from I Scream is next door.

I tried the patties which was very tasty, but not the best I had in Jamaica. Tempting cakes were nicely displayed in glass cabinets and were hard to resist. the bakery was very popular so I had to wait a few minutes but overall the service was ok.

Loved the patties and plantain tarts eaten outdoors on a quiet Sunday morning. Friendly service and a nice stop.
