This place is now part of the Riu Merengue, and is called the Riu Merengue Village. It is a bit outdated and needs a good revamp, but besides that a relaxing holiday extremely hot weather all staff are fantastic and good food

Stay at the Bachata for the extra few dollars! We chose the Mambo and the food and facilities were terrible! We only paid $1000 per person for the week (with flight fromTO) so I can't complain about the price ..but we got what we paid for. The SUNSHINE made it all worth it!

Really nice quiet area of the Riu complex, simple but tasty food all day long and a friendly bar as well. Perfect if you fancy having a quieter time or just to get away from the entertainments or the somewhat boisterous Dominican guests. Well worth the five minute walk.

The food here was very good and plenty of it all day long. There really was not anything we did not like about the resort. The people, amenities, food, drinks, everything was perfect including the weather!
