Both setting and food make this place worth the visit. Typical dominican cuisine. A must try are the Conch Empanades and Crab Empanades with an iced cold Presdente Beer

Beautiful location, delicious recipes, good wines from all over the world, warm atmosphere, high prices but adecuate to quality/service. Try 'Cangrejo Guisado' the top recipe.

Say hello to Marisol (cook owner). Almost frozen beer with some great crab meat and chivo. Remember to try the yucca empanadas and a cereza fruit juice if in season. It can be hard to get parking in the colonial area and specially now due to the wholesale renovations going on. It's not cheap, but a treat. Go for lunch... More

Perhaps the best authentic Dominican restaurant in the colonial district. Its on a small unassuming road, not far from the main center, but not a place you would necessarily walk by if not directed, which works in your favor. Its busy, but often has locals, and the 2nd floor is stunning, each room a different bright color, and lots of... More

We came here with a group of 14 while on a business trip. We sat in a private room upstairs. The decor was beautiful and the service was great. We started with some yummy empanadas- fish, chicken, and conch. I had pescado al coco, which was very good, and tasted some of my friend's pescado al criollo, which was also... More

I was walking by the night before and there were a bunch of famous salsa singers (yes, salsa, with Dominican Johnny Pacheco among them), so I figured it was a must to eat there. Went the day after with my girlfriend and, indeed, the place has a very nice ambience and great food with pretty good service.

Lovely waiters, quite a bit more expensive than other places, but we went 5 times and every time it was great. Also fine with our 2 year old

The building looks just right from the outside, and on the inside too. The food is no gastronomic highlight, but is authentic local cuisine at a reasonable price served by friendly waitstaff. What more do you want?

We ate here on our last night in DR and we were happy we didn't miss it! The place is really nicely decorated and it has an expensive feel to it but the food is definitely well priced. If you are walking in there to find the more typical dishes like mofongo and tostones you will not find it. However... More
