What a great time we had at Pat'e Palo. We had a party of 12 to celebrate my birthday. We had a great time here. The food was really good. They have a very extensive wine list and great customer service. I only have a little suggestion for the restaurant: 1. Your staff needs to learn English 2. remove the... More

My dinner at Pat'e Palo was my first proper meal upon arriving in the Dominican Republic to celebrate my 30th birthday, and boy, what a way to start it off! I had been researching restaurants to eat at prior to my trip, and I made a reservation ahead of time to dine here. Though we made the reservation for 7:30,... More

The night we visited, traditional music and dance was being performed on stage in the plaza. Just added to the total experience. The view in this area of the house that belonged to Columbus's son is beautiful - it is all lit up. Service is terrific at this restaurant! I had a steak the just melted in my mouth. Everyone... Great location, wonderful wine list. Bread and garlic butter was so light, crunchy, chewy tender. Samosa starter was DIVINE....and the fish, shrimp and kids chicken dish were delightful!! Dessert was so good, we had the corn something that was out of this world. Since I have to live here for 3 years I will definitely become a regular.

Our waiter Alexis was available but did not "hover". He clarified menu items as we made choices. We had two superb appetizers. The main courses came in a reasonable amount of time and were very well prepared. The caipirinas were also very well done. Were I to return to the DR I would have more than one meal here.

so this looked like they were trying too hard for a pirate theme... do-rags/ bandannas on every waiters head, Picasso styled black white n red paintings that vaguely looks like ships and some cannon miniatures... but no rum based drinks on menu... only vodka- not very pirate-y menus do come in English though the English menu is still basically Spanglish... As the title says, good Food, great Location, Service excellent. Pitty the place is somehow overcrowded, so you feel that the waiters are somehow stressed
