Always a great experience, the food, service and ambiance are outstanding. The view of colonial sites including former residence on Columbus is extraordinary. One of my favorites dishes is Gnocci di yuca"

My wife and I were staying overnight in Santo Domingo and decided to have supper at this highly rated restaurant. Our hotel phoned the restaurant ahead of time because we were not exactly sure where it was located and got detailed directions. We walked there and as we got close to our destination we were greeted by an employee of... More

A must visit when in Santo Domingo. Conveniently located in the historic Colonial City with romantic outside seating, fantastic historic scenic views, and Caribbean breezes. The atmosphere and appetizers are world class. We had the Crispy Apple slices coated with parmesan covered with onion ginger confit and topped with sautéed scrimp as well as the Pastichio which was stuffed with... More

This is by far the best restaurant in Dominican Republic! Excellent location very romantic and well located. Food is excellent but pricy. Portions requiere some attention on management part. Besides that I completely recommend it! Try the "Rissotto Nero".

Great meal with extensive wine list. Better ambiance than most. Service a little slow but then all service in DR is slow, I don't hesitate recommending for lunch or dinner. Try the fish in creole sauce.

I have been to Pat'e Palo about 20 times in the last few years, each one with pleasure. Within the last 6 months, I went to this restaurant 3 times. The food was still pretty good, and the service OK. But these last 3 times, the problem arose at the moment of the bill : each time they added some... More

We liked Pat'e Palo so much that we went twice in a two day trip. Food is very good and location is great (right in front of Alcazar de Cólon). It was perfect to have lunch there, with a cold beer, overseeing the plaza. The waiters dressed as pirates might be a little tacky, but after 2 beers, you don't... More
