Great view, great atmosphere, great food. reasonably priced

Excellent food, fantastic view...try to go right before it gets dark and sit outside so you can enjoy the view of the plaza. The Chilean seabass is out of this world and so is their sangria. I had a great dinner at this restaurant this summer. For entrees, we asked for shrimp and sausages and a good chorizo. The main course was salmon for my friend and I asked for the "Chivo picante" which was really tasty and good if you like spicy/hot food (I eat a lot of hot pepper so take this comment with... More

The food was excellent. The steak was amazing. The chorizo appetizer was great. Especially dipped with the bread. Not a place to if you are counting calories but on vacation calories dont count LOL : ) Nice ambiance. My cell phone needed charging and the server gave me his privates charger to use. Thumbs up.

Dear Jerry Max T, Thank you for visiting us and sharing your experience. The Sartén Don Quijote is a classic in our menu due to its delicious combination of flavours. The trick with the bread dipped in the sauce its not known by many but its definitely a fantastic idea. Looking forward to having you again, Tania Duvernay tania@ppo.do More

We've been sick for days! For our last night we chose the best restaurant (on Trip Advisor) and as a result we got sick and spent our last night in the bathroom as well as our last day...what a great way to end your vacations!!! It might have been the cocktails ice cubes or the food...who knows? But anyway this... More

Truly, a great dining experience! At first, I thought it might be a bit of a tourist trap, however I was thankfully wrong. We started with a nice selection of shared appetizers for the table. The entrees were all excellent including the smoked lamb chops. All of the seafood selections were fresh and perfectly prepared. Service was excellent. We were... More

This restaurant has been around for over 3 decades. Outside seating which scenic views of the old work building over 500 years old. Overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Service was first class as you'd expect once you see the atmosphere. Ordered family style had a bit of everything and I must say that every plate was made to order. The shrimps... More

This restaurant is located in the heart of colonial zone in Santo Domingo. At the same area there are many restaurants, but Pat'e Palo was my best experience. I had the coconut shrimp and it was the best dish I have tried in Santo Domingo. The prices were a little expensive, but they were worth. The waiters were friendly and... More

According to a local tourist guide this was the FIRST bar/cantina/pub founded by Sir Francis Drake in America (The continent discovered by Columbus - Not a country as some people say/believe) The place, the lights, the menu is INCREDIBLE! A World class Continental style restaurant, beautifully situated across from Columbus house in the ancient Zona Colonial quarter of Santo Domingo. An ancient building evocatively decorated with a huge outdoor terrace. Sexily Candlelit at night with the waiters using flashlights to illuminate the menus. Lots of smiling, helpful staff provide exceptional, friendly & caring service - with some English spoken... More
