Sushi lover

I'm a sushi lover and while walking around close to my hotel the evening the day I landed in Curacao I came across Ema Tei which was situated in a corner on Rif Fort. Being a sushi lover I walked right in looked at the menu and placed an order. The size of the shrimp shumai were small but had... read more

Great little hole in the wall located at Ft. Rif. They have an excellent lunch special, several small portions of noodles and tempura shrimp with two maki rolls for just under $13. My wife had tuna maki, expensive but she says thumbs up! Recommend for lunch. Can't go wrong here.

If you are a Sushi-Lover like us and you are in Curaçao, you can't avoid going to Ema-Tei! Located at "Rif Fort" this great ambiance, excellent Sushi variety. Only minus was the service but we truly did understand. The place was simply packed! The ambiance and quality of the food compensated vastly for the waiting time.

We stopped here after a day of sightseeing for happy hour. They had three rolls on special and we ordered one of each with drinks. The rolls were perfect! Very fresh and our waitress was very sweet.

You will only find better panfried gyoso in Japan! Not a reheated convenience product but made from scratch. The sushi rolls were also very tasty, after a starter and 2 rolls i had to order one more and it was definately the best of the evening: Fresh cooked shrimps in a coconut and chillie majonaise on top of a roll... Service was really slow. Definitely on island time. Make sure you aren't in a hurry. The food was good it just took way too long to get one roll.

I had a tempura dish, a sushi roll dish and the fried cheese cake dessert and can't complain on any of them. Very delicious. The food is made with care and it takes some time to come out but not in a way that it was unpleasant. The Japanese beer served is great but excessively priced in my opinion. Place... More

I made a reservation for a large party, and the hostess was straight honest and strongly suggested that we pre-ordered, at least, the appetizers. The japanese staff coming with us made the selection: Gyozas, Edamame, Edamame, Chicken Karaage, Neptuno Salad and Assorted Sashimi. They all were good and we waited no more than 10 minutes, including them bringing our drinks.... More

My maki roll fell apart. Meaning not wel rolled. Also, Sushi put on a porcelain plate instead of wood. Causing the sushi to stick to the plate. After mentioning this nothing happened, no excuse / no explanation.
