I had been here 30 years ago and went back again last Friday. We were a group of 8 and the restaurant was only half full. There was only one server who took our orders, brought our drinks, delivered the food and bused the tables. It took 25 minutes to get served but we were chatting so the time went... More

A simple, unassuming place that serves the best Curacao food on the island. Try Keshi Yena, Kabritu Stoba, or Karko (cheese and chicken, goat stew, or chonch).

I'm being kind on the 3 star rating as the majority of our group basically hated their food. I'm guessing we just ordered the wrong things? Which is why I'm leaving it at 3. The stroba (beef stew) plate was reportedly good. The fried plantains were so-so. Not the best I've ever had. Three people tried the Okra stew. Yikes.... More

The Golden Star restaurant deserves some extra stars. It dedicates itself to local food and it tastes great.

The Golden Star is a small restaurant with good food, but I prefer it just to take off.

This is THE place for the tourist to feel like an Islander. Not quite as rustic as the "truck stops" on the streets but has the true Curacao"ian" tastes. The menu is limited but each dish is better than the next. Make sure you are somewhat adventurous - not made for those who enjoy simple and boring!

This restaurant has been around for a long time, probably at least 40 years, they deserve credit for promoting local dishes for all those years. The place itself is rather worn down, but that doesn’t matter, most people come to enjoy the traditional Curacao dishes. But do not visit if well groomed ambience in a modern designed, tastefully decorated place... More
