Great place to take a break

Average food and service, but the location can't be beat. Sit under the umbrellas for a while, have a cold drink and sandwich and watch the Queen Emma Bridge open and close, and the ships coming and going. One of our favorite daytime pastimes.

I confirm what other reviewers said, it's situated nicely by the waterfront, so nice place to have a drink - that is once the waitress finally gets to your table and actually brings the drinks... service was slow although the staff were friendly, the lunch we ordered ( ceasar salad and seafood salad) was below average and not that cheap.... Well, not for real of course, but the waitresses are so incredibly slow that you definately have to bring your own booze if you like more than 1 beer hourly. The view is great though.

We ended up stopping here for a quick bite - service was so-so, as was the food. The view was awesome - this is just across the pedestrian bridge.

The view is great. Honestly, it was the perfect place to just sit and relax. However the service was slower than ever. The burgers were nothing to talk about. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich thinking I was getting a sandwich. It's a tuna mixture slapped on top of salad. Grossed me out to have all of that touching. Again,... More

Terrible service, even by Curacao standards - it took 40 minutes to bring us two beers. The whole area smelled like old beer and urine. All of downtown is pretty nasty. Better view at La Bahia or other places on other side of river. Don't go here.

Iguana is very well located, with several tables along the water. It is a great place to sit and watch the ships and movable bridge. We ordered one beer apiece. It took a long time for them to arrive and the one was not the kind we had ordered. We sat for 15-20 minutes after finishing our bottles with no... More

The restaurant has a great view... But the food is not good. It might be better if you just drink a few beers and then eat somewhere else.

Just know that's what you're paying for. You can watch the pontoon bridge open and close to your heart's content. The food is decent.

Iguana Cafe was a great spot for lunch and people watching. The food was more of lunch fare. Our family sat out by the harbor and enjoyed a relaxing lunch of burritos and people watching.
