Great views, good food but expected more

We were looking for a special place for a special dinner night. Next to food, a good wine (seclection) is really important. That was why whe have choosen Bistro Le Clochard 1. winelist We reall did expect better choices than finally found. Well, there were some DRC's on the menu, but we did... read more

I brought my Father here to celebrate his birthday on April 27, 2015 along with King Wilhelm Alexander. We had a beautiful fish of the day lunch by the sea overlooking the Queen Emma bridge and the beautiful colored buildings of Curacao. THANK YOU for a beautiful, delicious lunch and the opportunity to make another unforgettable memory with my father.... More

We have eaten at Bistro before on several occasions. We were disappointed this time. Some of the food was excellent, and some mediocre to below par. Veal was the best choice and excellent. Waiter was friendly but quite slow, and totally forgot some basic things which we reminded them. They seemed understaffed - but we had a reservation. $$$$$. Beautiful... More

This restaurant was right near our hotel (the Renaissance), and my husband and I wanted to have dinner here because of the amazing outdoor patio overlooking the ocean. BTW - there are other places to dine that overlook the ocean. Let me say up-front: Go there instead! We always order more expensive meals and a bottle of wine. At $160,... More

We dined at Bistro Le Chlochard last week and had a great view and good food. The service was very good and the wait staff tried to personalize the visit with talk about the restaurants history

We went to this restaurant and had a table close to the water. The view was exceptional. The food was really great as well as the service. Great place to enjoy a meal.

This is the prettiest space ever. Right on the water in the middle of town. Great location. At night there are tarpon feeding right off the deck. I had a steak and it was tasty. They were missing 3 entrees from the menu, the prices were high and the wait staff was - hmmm- seasoned and quite, rather, most experienced.

We went there for dinner at the recommendation of the Marriott Curacao. Lucky that we stopped early and made a reservation for outside. Stunning setting, very attentive service. The white asparagus with hollandaise sauce was wonderful. The veal was out of this world - world class. The tenderloin was very tasty. For desert we had the chocolate mouse with strawberry... More

We went to Bistro Le Clochard for lunch because of a recommendation by the hotel. We sat outside on the terrace and had a marvelous view of the water and harbor entrance. (it is a covered terrace) The food was well prepared, beautifully presented and delicious, but small in size. (For lunch, it was plenty to eat.) Bread, butter and... More

We heard the chanced THE Cook so we went back twice. A week ago we noticed an improvement in the kitchen. We where not impressed by the fish platter but the starter and Wiener schnitzel was great. Today we went back and where again pleasantly surprised. We had a great meal: onion soup and a tuna starter. Wiener schnitzel and... More
