We went there one evening, got in immediately, had shrimp, grilled lobster, and the catch of the day fish. It was excellent, service good, wine good, and we also had 2 children with us, not a problem. Very impressed.

Conclusion: our best dinner in Varadero and probably Cuba overall. Ignore the legend and try it! The house itself is amazing # full of old flair and charm # right on the beach # house’ design, atmosphere, look and feel are awesome # the most interesting house on the beach I visited. Our food was excellent, much better than the... More

The food was good but a little bit too expensive and the night we went, the credit card payment was not available, we we're lucky enough to have cash with us. The view on the sea was amazing.

It was rushed from the moment we got there. We orderd our drinks and before we could even have a drink she was back to take the order. We ordered soup for a starter.....never got it. Ordered those steak, they were out, tried to order pork, they were out, se we got stuck having these steak peices. The gravy was... More

This place is super expensive. The filet minon was $15 CUC (for lunch) and consisted of a 5oz grey rubbery piece of steak with plain rice and cabbage. Awful, avoid!

On our day trip into Varadero we visited Las Casa de Al for a drink on the patio which overlooks the beach. The drinks were great, staff friendly and the view was amazing. Would love to go back and have dinner.

We went there around sunset, the view is amazing, directly by the beach. However, we were eaten by the mosquito, they did give us a spray but we had to finish our meals and go because the spray probably wasn't strong enough. The food itself was good, better than the hotel, slightly over cooked sea food. Service was fast and... More

Whether or not you believe Big Al was here or not, it was a cool restaurant to see. The grilled "lobster" (certainly not good Canadian Atlantic lobster) was pretty tasty. Sufficeit to say it was a better option than the awful resort food. If you are in Varadero I would go. Was romantic to sit on the stone patio and... More

Went for lunch there one afternoon. We sat outside and the view and beach were amazing. The men playing and singing were great, the entire experience was amazing. I did find it a touch pricey, about 25 cuc ($30) Canadian dollars for about a 6 oz lobster tail and 6 oz steak. The food was good.
