Good food and great views

My husband and I came here for lunch the day we went in to Varadero. We sat outside in the back and had a wonderful view of the sea. The sea over at Kawama seemed even nicer than at our beach in Varadero! It was even more turquoise and just stunning. The menu has dishes named after mobsters... read more

My husband and I both had the paella. It was excellent. The restaurant was beautiful. We sat in the area that was between inside and outside. Beautiful evening. The sun had gone down by the time we left. Definitely a place to go. And historic too. A short walk from our resort which was a bonus. We shared dessert, the... More

Last time we visited cuba we went to this restaurant was great, we went in a large group so we all ordered a variety of different menu items, all of them good. Praise for the calamari, every time we go it's been great. This time that we went was a huge disappointment. They barely had anything available on their menu,... More

Seated right away despite it was busy and most tables were full and reserved. I had the lobster special. Very fresh and cooked perfect. Friend had lobster and steak which she liked as well. Our young waiter disappeared at times but the other ones made up for the friendly service. If you come early enough you can sit on roof... More

The best thing going for this restaurant is the location...right on the beach in Varadero. Priced too high for the quality of the food, there are much better places to eat downtown. I would suggest opting out of the government owned establishments which each year get more expensive and find a nice private paladar which usually have better food, prices... More

We walked to this restaurant from the last stop of the hop on hop off bus. There were more hop on hop off bus stops all the way to Al's but the bus no longer runs out that far. It was about a 15 - 20 minute walk. (We initially were told a very short walk.....about 5 minutes) The building... More

This restaurant is not very good at all. Considering some of the places to have seafood in Veradaro this one is feeble. They served us a fish of the day that was supposed to be marlin, it was nothing of the sort. The prices are very high for Cuba and the quality did not reflect it. I would steer clear... More
