Best chicken in town!

Great place to go with your family and friends!! Amazing food and very fast service. Right downtown VARADERO, price and menu are amazing. 4 pax 28 Vic 2 chickens, 1-shrimps, 1-beff and drinks. But they need to improve in customer service! But I really recommend this place

The general atmosphere it's okay. The meals are average. The personnel is fast and warm. This place used to be one hot spot in downtown Varadero. They used to serve cheap meals, but there are other options in the game in Varadero right now. Nevertheless is a nice place for a passing by quick'n'regular lunch.

Food here is standard Cuban fare, though quite well cooked (fried chicken especially tasty and juicy). Rapidly served, which was lucky because in the space of half an hour here, both of us came away with over 30 mosquito bites each - a function of there being no air con (expected) or fans (unlike most other restaurants in Varadero). Highly recommended if you are looking for local food with local people and very affordable prices. Only thing is that as with other restaurants in Cuba, they don’t always have everything on the menu. They were out of many items. Great Cuban dishes, vaca frita, ropa vieja, porc, moros y cristianos, fried plantain etc.

I visited for the first time a couple of days ago and had to come back again as it is one of the best places for eating in Varadero and has great prices , good service and ambiance. Highly recommend it for low budget and good quality eating.

My friend and I were at a resort in Varadero and we wanted to venture out into the city for a traditional Cuban meal. We asked one of the staff members at reception for a recommendation, as we were looking for something different than the regular restaurants frequented by visitors from the resort. She recommended La Vicaria. We took the... More

Came by this restaurant as it was a 3 minute walk from our hotel. We decided to try it as the menu posted outside had a good variety and the prices were good. There were 6 of us in our party and we found a table no problem. Service was excellent. I ordered the grilled lobster and it was well... More

Traditional Cuban food of rice, beans and meat. I ordered the half chicken which was quite dry and overcooked. They brought our drinks over just before our food, I think they forgot we ordered them. It was ok, standard.

A much needed change of food from the resort. We had the seafood plater and 2 beer for 20cuc. The food was very good and service was very quick for being busy. Would go back again.

We had our dinner at la vicaria because we were attracted by the wide menu and the restaurant itself, completely made of wood. After getting to our tables the problems started. The service was terribly slow and we called the waiters three times before they took the orders. I ordered the combo plate with both meat and fish. The meat... More
