Food was average, waiter very uninterested. Portions are big enough, service was very fast, a bit too fast maybe (we received our dishes, a mixed grill and ropa vieja with rice, black bean sauce and boiled potatoes less than 10 minutes after ordering, which seems impossible if it was only made after ordering). There are much better places to eat... More

Great atmosphere with live music and cuban menu. Not expensive unless you want to have the lobster which was well worth the 22.80 cuc. We went 2 days in a row having such a great time the first day. We met with friends at our hotel, hailed an open cadillac taxi on the road, had drinks, listened to the great... More

You have to try local food, prepared in traditional fashion....We did just that on our recent visit to Varadero....We were way too early for the dinner hour and had the restaurant practically to ourselves with the band playing on valiantly.....When the place gets filled with diners it looks like it could be a very lively spot...... I was hoping for... More

Delicious and excellently sized portions of typical cuban food (meat+rice+frijoles) served with live music and very friendly staff.

I don't like loud Cuban music, my steak was terrible, they were out of a couple things I wanted to eat & there are so many better places to eat.

Nice atmosphere (with live music by Sextetto Calison), pleasant service, and good Cuban fare. It was a little outside the main drag of Varadero, but worth the walk. Had a platter of fried chicken, roast pork, and ropa vieja. Of the three ropas I tasted this trip, Esquina's was the most refined. Beans and rice were also delicious. I'll be... More

One thing is good: the bean soup. And that's all. Music is to loud, cocktails are just ok, the fish was super greasy and salty (mine was supposed to be in breadcrumbs but they just splashed it with eggs) and my husband's salad had a snail on it. No need to say we didn't even finish our meal there.

We had one of our best meals here in Cuba and it wasn't expensive at all! Great service and lovely live music too.

Trying to go to the International Bank the bus drops you off right in front of this restaurant, so why not stop in for lunch? Nice open air spot right on the main drag. Nice view of the street. Service was very good as we had servers who weren't ours stop by to check on us. There was a live... More
