There is a beautiful roof garden where you can have a mojito or two and take in the surrounds from a height. This is a must thing to do. You can stay as long as you like and it is far better than the restaurant downstairs at the street level.

Plumb in the town centre, good range from full meals to small snacks. The only place we encountered where you can get a plate of chips

We went up to the Casa Granda top floor terrace restaurant. The view over Santiago de Cuba is indeed stunning and worth going there. You do have to bare with a bloating TV at the bar with the local Latin hitparade, hence why everyone looks for a table as far as possible away from it. You could also order a... More

The food was average and the prices rather high. And they run out of chicken that evening when we were there. I would expect that this can happen at some small privately owned restaurants, but not at a restaurant of such importance. So, the meal was good, but the rest was rather dissapointing. When getting to the roof-top area/restaurant external... More

Santiago de Cuba is a bit of a Foodie wasteland but here they do a good pizza, and reasonable other dishes with a view over the square. Prices are good but service can be iffy.

If you want a great view of Santiago, this is the place. You can even see a house burn in the distance (We did) Good food and drink too.

You should definitely considering to pay a visit to the rooftop terrace to escape all the bustle and jinteros on the street. But once there just have a drink or a snack but do not consider having a full dinner there. Overpriced and plain food (not even hot, it was probably heated) served by bored staff. Again just go for... More

Stay in this hotel and have a drink at the rooftop bar and a drink or tea at the veranda, but the food is mediocre - especially the pizzas and pastas - have a cuban sandwich if you are going to eat - but mostly just enjoy the view
